We should go offer Red Star a million for Marko Marin. Hadn't heard of him for a long time, not surprised that's where he's ended up. Like a German Theo Walcott in terms of how long his supposed potential was able to mask his shortcomings Wish we could sign Theo Walcott. Red star will be in the Champions league, field a dozen internationals and win the league. Marin could do a job for Town.

I ain’t giving away how I know as I shouldn’t say but just trust me, never been a bullshitter on here and don’t get what people get out of making stuff up Not averse to poking fun at recommendations by other posters though, are you? Really bothered you that one hasn’t it. It was a lighthearted joke, due to the fact when ever anyone mentioned Watkins you have to share the fact you’ve seen him play and recommended him.

Payne has been average for a relegated League One side. Why do folk think he was worth keeping? At least O'Brien impressed in a shit team. They were both great for the first half of the season. Both had dips in form in the new year but one of them kept going and the other gave up, unfortunately for us.

Payne would have been good in the championship. We never see any ins or outs before June usually. Wonder if there will be any early movements. The problem with Jack is that he has good ball control and looks a decent player. We seem more interested in keeping players who look like they have never seen a football before or possess no positional sense.

Collin stays! Think we should keep Big Col in cotton wool and save him for the games against L***s. Or to prevent him from tripping over his own feet.

So if Lowe goes we now have 2 RBs, one of whom can't defend, dribble or cross, and 0 LBs.
Great.
Can't wait to see who our DoF unearths to bring in at LB. Oh, wait.

Payne's a league 1 player. Thats his level. Didn;t look totally out of place in the championship, but wouldn;t look totally out of place in league 2 either.
Id be worried if we were offering payne a new contract.

So before we've started moving on under contract players we need
Keeper CB LB CM AM ST
And given our recent transfer dealings we're going to need 2 of each of those to hopefully get 1 decent one.
Can't wait.

No surprises there really. Personally glad we haven't offered Durm a deal. The Mbenza situation is what it is I suppose. I’m not glad pal , we normally agree on most things but he’s free ( as in we don’t need to buy him ) of course we need to pay him , he’s genuinely world class , he’s played against the best strikers in the Prem and on the whole done well , probably a 7 out of 10 most games , proved his fitness and in my opinion other than Kongolo and Schindler our best defender . I think it’s more likely he released us rather than we released him. World class?? He didn't look prem class or anywhere near it, never mind world class. I thought he was a consistent 4 until the last few games where he dropped to a consistent 2. He actually became a bit of a liability for the defence. Ok hed be better in the championship youd expect and hed be free, but even then i haven;t seen a player worth bothering with and not for the wage he probably wants. Id be very disappointed if we can;t get better without spending that much.

Personally I would have kept Jack Payne, good squad player and good enough on the bench I would have hoped. Totally baffled by his release. Why? He’s never going to play for Town as he’s not close to being good enough for a Championship team. He’s worth a transfer fee of about £250k max in the market, to get that we’d have to agree a new contract with him, and cross our fingers that someone actually came in for him. Where he plays his next game now he’s a free agent will untangle your bafflement.

I can’t remember him ever letting us down. He’s very meh though? Doesn’t do much wrong but doesn’t really do much. He’s a bit like a Nathan Clarke or Jon Dyson type character who would get games if he was at a club and never really let anyone down...but is not actually any good if you get down to it. It’s an interesting one, he’s got the skills and does the drills, but when I watch him whilst he goes through the motions it never really feels like he’s got the ability to go above that and deliver something more. For me he cruised through games similarly to how Billing is perceived. The truth is that neither probably does.

Check on the first time I mentioned OW on here and maybe think again.

Sorry to see Payne go but he will not be short of offers from clubs especially in League one. Williams would have been great in the Championship but his injury record has gone against him, when he played he never let us down.
Good luck to the younger lads who have been released, I hope they get fixed up and make the grade

The problem with Jack is the same one Hogg had 3 years ago.... he doesn't know how to kick a football!!! Wagner must have worked with Hogg and now h is quite a crisp passer and striker of a football. Jack needs the same intervention.

Can't wait. Why currently do we need a CM? Billing, Mooy, Hogg, Bacuna, O’Brien would be one of if not the best CM group in the champ. Billing is off and more than likely Mooy, so we will need one but currently we don’t.

I can't believe anyone has watched Durm of late and think he is world class He's been below average in most games. Defensively ok but a complete waste of a shirt going forward We might have got a lot more out of Durm if we'd played him on the right and only on the left in emergencies. He's naturally right footed and a far better defender than Smith & Flo. This

Quite recently Leeds were supposed ready to bid for Mooy.
Changed their mind. Wonder why?

Sorry what’s that you’d rather play for twice as much money against Bayern and Dortmund pahhhh some people eh
