We had good enough facilities. If you think the facilities are good enough you are either deluded, short of facts or full of shit. I, as an amateur squash player & runner who at 65 do those for fun, use the same specialist sports doctor as Town. He goes to provide treatment & takes his equipment with him because they do not have it. Further, he was asked if they could borrow an item to continue treatment in his absence, but said he needed it Monday morning for patients at his practice, that could have been me. He told me this 6ft 4in German in his Smart car returned it to him at home in Pately Bridge on Sunday & he continued his treatment in Germany. We all know who that is, MH! If you were a professional sports person would you find that a little inadequate? Ref; your first sentence. Is there an option for all 3?

I understand that the Canalside development has just been delayed until next summer. This allows the development of the public services relocating to LRPF to happen without impeding the operations & development at Canalside. That sounds the most plausible course of events I’ve read on this thread so far.

Leeds road playing fields I presume? Durhh - blindingly obvious now you've said but I'd honestly not got a clue.

As do many on here, I really hope that the training ground is the lasting legacy of this spell in the PL and with Dean Hoyle around I'm sure it will be. You don't want to end up like Bradford where my daughters have been playing junior football and asked not to warm up on the adjacent pitch because it is "the 1st team pitch" and the only facilities that aren't part of the school are some portacabins.

Anyone know how this effects LRPF? I've seen the plans for canalside itself but nothing for the playing fields, anyone know?

I drive through Apperley Bridge quite frequently and still can’t quite believe BCFC train on a (posh) school playing fields. Now that is tinpot.

Described by Dean hoyle as "picking the low hanging fruit" as far as developing the club. Sure it will happen.

Summat about mine workings at LRPF apparently. I’ve got a British Geological Survey app on my phone and there are about 10 boreholes not too far from the canal. They’re in a cluster so probably nothing to do with excavations associated with the canal itself. Boreholes are very different to mine workings and shouldn’t cause too much of a problem. They're also a good distance from Leeds Road and I cant see how they’d impact on any building as that’ll be just off of LR I’d have thought.

maybe our new owner doesn't likethe rnetal fee dean is asking for the new set up, and is happy with what we got ? Seriously, Dean wouldn't go ahead with this unless he knew the club were happy to sign a long term contract at an agreeable price to both parties....that may have caused a delay ?

Sean seemed to confirm there was going to be a re-think on what was to be done at Canalside, call me cynical but I am guessing the re-think means not spending the £20M or so that was supposedly set aside from the PL money. New owner; new priorities I guess and/or maybe the cash is required elsewhere? Seems the rumours of it being 'shelved' aren't wide of the mark although work on the pitches is apparently on going. Bit of a shame tbh bearing in mind the benefits the club outlined and it seemed a very wise way to spend some of the PL windfall.

Not according to Wagner or the players, and their opinions matter a lot more than yours, which doesn't matter at all. Yes, yes...they need privacy, ice baths, a massage daily. Lillis, Kindon, Boothy would knock the darlings on their arse. Town have 10 new apprentices ...so to speak...none will have ever made a bed...or make it as footballers. Hardship builds character....not private facilities. p.s Wagner has done bugger all yet. pps Which players are you quoting number 2? I know it's a while ago but when Vaughan did one of Togs Q&A's not long after signing he was asked about Canalside and the training facilities, which Town were already very proud of, his reply was they were adequate.

I get the impression it was Wagners baby and he was trying to drag us into the 21st century. With him gone and Siewert holding nothing like the same level of power it seems backwards, tight Yorkshire syndrome is setting in.
Cost of everything value of nothing.
If it was being driven properly then the work would have started the day after Depoitre scored that goal.

Not sure downing pints and tools gets much built either. Amazing the lack of criticism he recieves compared to some others.

Be a real shame if the plug is pulled. Would feel like the premiership has been a waste of time. Mass exodus of players, hoyle selling up, losing wagner, been embarrassed pretty much every week for 9 months, now potentially not even developing the training ground with the £350m+(?) from 2 seasons. Was it really worth it?
