Green looks shite on blue, their slanted logo will look shite on the shirt, their twitter banter is shite, but most of all their track record as a company is shite ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddy_Power#Criticism ). Absolute ghouls who prey on and make a load profit from the vulnerable, and then break advertising standards laws for making fun of them (and many other things). I have strong opinions about gambling advertising but it seems to be a necessary evil in terms of shirt sponsorship at the moment, so I won't include this as an aspect of shiteness. While it's a big name that from a commercial sense is probably a bit of a coup, I can't hide my disappointment at having Paddy Power stuck on the front of my club's shirt.   |

I know humour , I’m also aware of the concept of self deprecation but that’s too much. I'm planning a protest on the tenth minute me and my mate are going to turn our back on the game, hold hands, and chant "Paddy power Paddy power, out out out". Who's in? a lot of people turned their back last season, it didn't help....it just sounded bad then... My friend has a really good singing voice though so this stands more chance of success. On second thoughts standing is unsafe, so we'll probably sit backwards on our chair instead. |

If I really had to make a negative comment about the ad then its tougher on the Irish than being a Town fan, or just on Irish ad men then? or just ad men? they do appear to be taking the piss out of a few things? lets hope we become the most successful prostitute in the championship... we have clubs run by gangsters who obviously removed competitors during their 'rise' to the top of their 'business' and clubs run by blokes from countries who stone women and chuck gays off high walls, some even have Airlines taking lots of people to and from these nasty states. We have Deano and Phil who might have cut some corners on their way to making their money but even taking money from paddy power leaves them as clean as 'Jimmy Osmond' in relation to many clubs owners.. In the scheme of things these days a few bob for laughing at ourselves is nothing.. |

A set of fans who regularly sung "We're going down", "We're on our way to the championship" and (less regularly) "We scored a goal" are complaining about a light-hearted video taking the piss both out of the club but also the "big team" fans who know nothing about football.

Being addicted to gambling is terrible, not only affecting individuals but families/friends etc. In fact one of my close friends went through this and led to the break up of his relationship, moving out the family home and living with me. But it’s the same for alcohol, drugs, gaming, social media. Even stealing is an addiction, do we close down shops to stop people stealing?
I am for this, nothing wrong with light hearted jokes.
More could be done to assist those with addiction though!

The logo could potentially look perfectly fine in their branded colours with a blue and white striped kit, if a white background is engineered into the kit as for example Puma did with this one...(although I do prefer unbroken stripes, having a big subconscious H motif is a totally fine second choice rather than having a big stuck on patch to create the same effect)  TBH I think it would also work isolated in their current brand colours, as in the 01/02 Prime Time kit.  However, we all know it will just be an iron-on box like the first OPE sponsored kit  |

The promotion shirts of 03-04 started off with a green sponsor but was then changed after a game or two to being in black to make more prominent.
I’m pretty sure the green version never went on sale so I can only imagine they were having issues with their supplier and there was a delay in them going on sale. Sounds familiar!

You will find is they will commit crimes to help fund there habit. I’ve seen re-mortgage in a spouses name, taking from family members banks, credit cards in other peoples names, stealing from there employee you name it. Most habits are legal over 18, but actions caused by the addiction often leads to legal activity. |

That doesn;t look photoshopped to me, and I work in photoshop every day.
I mean it could be... anything could be without it showing if youre good enough, but to me that looks a genuine photo.
In which case it looks ok. Would be better if the collar was white, but a big improvement on some of the crap designs we've had over recent years.
