Quite surprised that many don't have Mounie in the 18. If fit I believe he will feature at some point in the game. You always need at least one striker on the bench.

He would normally in my 18. Not sure he's fit enough though. Plus not spent much time with the new look squad.

Mounie is a great plan B option off the bench at this level. He wins headers, no one can argue that. He'll win even more in this division
Whether he's happy to be sat on the bench is another matter

RVLP, I'm basing it upon him having ability and a point to prove, plus reports of him coming back with a better attitude & knuckling down. No Diakhaby & Mbenza, based on their performances for us last season. They could be great this season or they could be utter garbage. I've not written them off by any means but I'm not optimistic about either of them tbh. Im still on the fence with Mbenza. Not sure if has the ability. I thought Diakhaby showed glimpses of some good football, particularly at Everton, so I have hope for him. For me, both have ability & have shown it in spells here & there. I'm sure that you could produce a highlights video of each of them that made them look really, really good. For the most part though from what I've seen they've been poor. I reiterate though - I'm not writing either of them off. Plenty of players over the years have started poorly but gone on to be superb. And I'm convinced D & M both have the ability to do very well.

I admire RVLP's skill and am impressed by his work for the team, but when he gets the ball, do our players bust a gut to get in the box?..... Tells you all you need to know. If players don't bust a gut to make themselves available to receive the ball during an attack then that's either their own fault or the fault of the manager giving them poor/unclear instructions.

He will have trained up to the recent tournament, trained and played during it and then he's been allowed a couple of weeks jollies, during which, surely he's not going to be out every night having nine pints and a kebab.

I would have thought that if he's fit enough to play in an international tournament then his fitness probably isn't an issue. Time spent training with the rest of the squad would be useful though.

The players and the home crowd know through experience that a cross will not be forthcoming. Eventually you accept the situation and prepare for the counter attack, it's only human nature.

Unless there is a last minute departure I am hoping for: Grabba Flo Shindy Elphick TK R Brown Mooy Bacuna Diakhaby Grant Mbenza Bench: Schofield Bockhorn Stankovic Hogg Pritchard Kache Quaner I'd be surprised if more than one of Brown, Mbenza and Diahkaby start barring injuries or transfers.

Mounié. Not even match fit ? He probably hasn't kicked a ball since the 5th July, that's 4 weeks tomorrow, so no, he's not match fit.

Maybe, but don't forget we've signed a striker in Koroma, we already have Mounie, Kachunga & Quaner were signed as strikers. Before Monaco signed Diakhaby from Stade Rennes he'd scored 4 in 5 as a striker aswell. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for a new striker tbh, that's alot of players covering one position.
