Found first 20mins or so very difficult to listen to in car because of the poor production....might try again with earphones in later.
So far, reasonably interesting.... the bit about seeing Pearson and the Bradford fella on holiday and realising he didn’t want to be a club owner and be “recognised”, and pulling out of the deal until Ken Davy (the saviour of Huddersfield Town!) talked him round was surprising, how naïve had he been to not even consider that club ownership would come with a whole raft of other stuff ?!
What I would say is I know it’s labelled unedited but I’d much prefer an edited 10-15minute version...the opening sequence of tedious radio commentary went on far far too long (I can’t ffwd podcasts in car, only skip to end!)...and the hosts rambling on could be chopped quite a bit in edit to lose all the frippery whilst still keeping the flow understandable. As a listener I don’t care what they have to say, the interest here is from Dean,,,I suppose that’s the conflict, it’s a podcast, their voice and opinion is what they want people to hear, but there’s no way on earth I’d be listening to this if it wasn’t for the fact there was a guest with something I want to hear. Anything the hosts say I can think for myself.
Pretty good as these things go, other than the terrible production values 🤷♂️
(Also almost deafened myself when flipped back to music!!)

It's extremely popular amongst folk who aren't totally anal . You want THEM to edit THEMSELVES out to please a guy who never listens? FFS it doesn't matter what guise you come back under you are equally rude and condescending under each mode and therefore it sticks out like a bloody sore thumb who you are . If you want a podcast just for YOU I suggest you make one .. full of content about companies house and how you were really in on the paddy power joke all along after 3 days of whining about it.. Now that would be something id want EDITING (I can still scarcely believe you've said that )

Great listen so far (I’m about half way through). I have to say the bit about Mark Robins refusing to high-five Jermaine Beckford had me in stitches.

Seems odd that it’s take years to acknowledge Davy , Butterfield and Rhodes as alright. Davy in particular has taken a lot of stick. He was being civil. No need to call him the twat that he was/is at this point. "Not on each others Christmas card list" means more than it seems, trust me Yeah, can you read between the lines on a podcast 🤔 but he's definitely not got any time for Davy or his bunch of losers

Great section on the Lee Clark era too, Tbf an amazing interviiew and very candid from Deano. An amazing club. Totally agree. I listened through headphones, very little trouble hearing what was said. Nick, if you made more comments like this, nobody would have any issues with you. Apart from his slightly disturbing obsessions such as Lee Clark and the width of Ramadan Sobhi's arse!

You should be embarrassed about this post. Lots of micro aggressions. Clearly you have something personal against the busy involved in the podcast or you have some bitterness towards people that are pursuing their dreams and passions, or you are just jealous. The lads should be applauded for building a platform that has managed to grow enough credibility and consistently that Dean would feel comfortable to appear on and provide a 3 hour insight into his time at the club. Personally I applaud the guys for doing this and thank them for their efforts. It’s not a financially rewarding endeavour. And they are not funded like the BBC. So this is a labour of love. They don’t have a production team and free kit. Chatting about the production like it’s 5 live. To the poster. I feel sorry for you.

And that’s the conflict, I don’t really consume podcasts or vlogs or suchlike, it’s not aimed at me. And I wouldn’t expect them to create an edit, but just noting that there might be something of interest here for people who are interested in hearing what Dean has to say, that hasn’t been carried in other forms. Just being honest, it’s not for me and that’s my opinion. As usual nobody knows what you’re is as you just go on the attack against anything that you don’t like without offering anything constructive to the thread / discussion. I haven’t listened to any of the others in full (I’ve tried the odd 5mins here and there since they launched). I’m sure whoever is behind this wants to hear the full spectrum of views rather than a load of useless platitudes patting them on the back. Thanks.

Good podcast and well done to those involved
One area I’d have been interested to hear was probably hoyles most contentious decision of his era - the changes to the academy.
That said it was a really uplifting and nostalgic review of a wonderful decade under Hoyle and brought back plenty of great memories
Well worth the listen

Good listen. Very frank and open access to our ex Chairman, I’m sure this level of discussion is unimaginable at most clubs in the Championship, never mind Premier League. No real surprises but some good stories. I’m on hols, a great way to spend a few hours by the pool.

Only some clowns on here would listen to the Chairman who took us from the wilderness to the top table over 10 years speak open and candidly about every major decision, fall out and rumour of that decade...and then simply moan about the production.
Absolute throbbing bellends.

How many hours you spent posting on here in the last week? It's just that I can't be arsed reading most of what you've posted so would appreciate if you could whittle it down to a couple of sentences to summarise, just for my benefit.

No. You're the end who thinks I can't offer comment on a podcast because I don't create any that are better. So I'm asking does someone have to be a professional footballer with better output than Mounie in order to criticise him. It'd be a very dull place if we all had to wheel our professional credentials out and have them measured for validity before we offer comment.

Nobody thinks you aren't entitled to an honest opinion. You do have a right to an honest opinion but you have also choice about if and how you present your honest opinion. Commenting repeatedly negatively on editorial, the hosts and the production including comments like "terrible production values" is as insensitive as it is condescending. Not only is your opinion presented badly but the rest of what you say on this thread just demonstrates how shallow and uninformed your opinion is. Hoyle has presided over one of the most successful and eventful periods in Town recent history and you are asking for a 10 minute digest. You don't just get to sit down with someone like that and chat to them in an open, relaxed and uncensored way. Opportunities for true insightful moments like this are earned after months and years of effort hence the kudos for the team for all their hard work resulting in a great piece of content for Huddersfield fans. Perhaps if you open your narrow mind, you might provide less narrow minded opinions. So yeah, you should be embarrassed and I strongly suspect that your audio problems are probably user error as well.

I'm not one for talk radio or podcasts as a rule, but listened to the whole three hours in one hit last night and loved every minute. Granted, earphones are a must due to the low volume levels of the original recording.
Did anyone else pause the audio from time to time while watching Youtube highlights of games Deano and the gang were reminiscing about?
Wonderful closure for a keen Town fan who's tried to make sense of the gossip during Deano's tenure without ever being too involved.
The bloke is a throwback to the likes of Andrew Carnegie.... a true philanthropist in an age of dodgy bankers and social media whores.

So yeah, you should be embarrassed and I strongly suspect that your audio problems are probably user error as well. Repeatedly?? I’ve provided a single post on the podcast, every other post on this thread has been defending myself against lunatics who chose to read what I wrote in a certain way because of some bizarre preconceived notion they have about me and a continued insistence on revealing personal details against my desire. It’s a bit stalkerish and I’ve no idea what they have to gain to be honest. I can assure you that being narrow minded is exactly the opposite of what I am. As I have written, there seems to be some interesting content in amongst, but an edited version (in addition to the unabridged original) would definitely encourage more listeners (such as myself, who don’t generally listen to podcasts or watch vlogs etc). The audio issues are obviously not user error, have you actually listened to the episode?! (I know all about audio...in a past life I produced music and foley for five consecutive number 1 selling titles).

No mate. Don’t try to deflect and misdirect. You are not the victim. It was a shitty post. You’re just too proud and defensive to accept it.

Lots of interesting feedback that we will take on board. We know some of the audio wasn’t great but unfortunately that can’t be amended afterwards. Regarding editing.....we decided between us to put this one out totally unedited so everyone got the chance to hear all the stories in full just like we did when recording. Dean was an absolute pleasure to speak to and was as candid as ever. We actually spent 4 hours in his company which was an honour for us after being a podcast for less than a year.
We will continue to put content out this season on a weekly basis and we have some more guests lined up. Phil Hodgkinson coming soon. We feel very honoured that the club are so engaging with us and long May that continue. As always, things like podcasts will divide opinion but, other than the sound for a few people, AND HE TAKES THAT CHANCE has gone down really well and we enjoy doing it. It’s sometimes hard to fit in around busy lives doing other things but it’s something we thoroughly enjoy doing and will continue to do so as long as it’s enjoyable. Thankyou to everyone for your opinions, it’s interesting to see the range. For those of you who have just found is and want to listen to previous episodes we can be found on YouTube, Spotify, ITunes, SoundCloud, Castbox and a couple more too I think.
Cheers
Neil
