Come off it. Legal firms as warriors of justice. They’re on the clock. They’ll be warriors for whatever you want if you settle your monthly account. “perusing negligence and culpability whilst ensuring compliance and H&S are given due credence.” Assuming you meant pursuing then no I don’t agree. It’s businesses themselves and sometimes regulators/local authorities etc who do that not the legal firms who come in and have a legal battle with one of the other stake holders on behalf of the client etc. Do you mean that firms ensure greater compliance with H&S because they fear being sued if they don’t comply as accurately? Well maybe that is true but is that a good thing? Businesses can and do ensure compliance in a multitude of daily. Regulation and standardisation are good things..but can be achieved without an over zealous legal wing imo. You may be correct, I have no strong views either way really - just bored of PH being beaten with every available stick. The zeitgeist has moved from ‘pauper Phil’ to ‘he’s got brass but made it unethically whilst contributing nothing’. No need for comparison or judgement. Both are self made men following a dream whilst putting plenty back into the local community. Can’t we simply applaud that? Sure, I just said originally that it wasn’t as inspiring for me.

End of a great era for town. Dean was really really ill with chronic pancreatitis and then the infection. 2/1 chance of survival ?!?! Christ, i want better odds than that for "all the marbles". I just had a month down with acute pancreatitis. Lost 30lbs in 11 days. I can't imagine Dean's ordeal.
The podcast is a little thin around the topics of, who made the list of wingers? And what happened with Wilson and Rebbe? This season is going to be the toughest in recent history. There are no easy fixtures in the Championship. Just ask Fulham. UTT

What an excellent podcast. I shed a few tears at the great memories Dean gave us. I shed some more about our friend Scoffa. I still cant believe he has gone.
Lets make this season a great one and support our team the way that Dean & Dave (and others that have passed, my dad who never saw us play in the prem) have. Lets be proud.

UTT 're Wilson and Rebbe isn't it obvious ? Wilson got a better offer from a bigger club and he's ambitious . And Dean did actually say in the interview that Rebbe " didn't work out " . Would you have expected three town fans who are doing a podcast for the fun of it for minimum reward to have then grilled Dean about it in a Frost Nixon style ?

Lots of interesting feedback that we will take on board. We know some of the audio wasn’t great but unfortunately that can’t be amended afterwards. Regarding editing.....we decided between us to put this one out totally unedited so everyone got the chance to hear all the stories in full just like we did when recording. Dean was an absolute pleasure to speak to and was as candid as ever. We actually spent 4 hours in his company which was an honour for us after being a podcast for less than a year. We will continue to put content out this season on a weekly basis and we have some more guests lined up. Phil Hodgkinson coming soon. We feel very honoured that the club are so engaging with us and long May that continue. As always, things like podcasts will divide opinion but, other than the sound for a few people, AND HE TAKES THAT CHANCE has gone down really well and we enjoy doing it. It’s sometimes hard to fit in around busy lives doing other things but it’s something we thoroughly enjoy doing and will continue to do so as long as it’s enjoyable. Thankyou to everyone for your opinions, it’s interesting to see the range. For those of you who have just found is and want to listen to previous episodes we can be found on YouTube, Spotify, ITunes, SoundCloud, Castbox and a couple more too I think. Cheers Neil Super job and if the guest is interesting enough the longer the better as far as I'm concerned! I'm sure lots of us spend a lot of time commuting and being able to listen to this and previous ones was an absolute pleasure. For me the issue with audio was Dean was quieter than the rest and the volume overall was low. Listened on max volume with windows shut and AC off and I could just about hear! Really looking forward to the next one, great job! Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards I listened in the car earlier, and if you turn bass and treble right down, and out mid right up, it becomes a lot clearer.

Cheers Neil I enjoyed it and it was a good listen and gave an interesting insight into the last ten years. Just one question what's your link to the club hierarchy?. It's just it came across as though had quite a lot of access to things prior to doing the podcast. Originally, no link other than the club have listened to the podcast from the start. We’ve had a little bit of exposure on Radio Leeds with Johnny Buchan too but it’s basically as simple as the club like what we do and, as shown with Sean Jarvis coming on, that they are willing to put up guests. A few more from the club lined up too. One thing we will always do though isn’t remain honest. If there is something to talk about negatively we will broach the subject, but then it’s the way in which we do it. Just glad so many people seem to like them. Thankyou.

Yeah a little bit, did wilson make the list, hand it to Wagner and then leave? Town wiffed on transfers last season, by lack of communication? "We are changing formations and don't need wingers?"

Did this in one sitting last night and absolutely loved it. I've never listened to a podcast before in my life so have no points of comparison, but I thought the lads presenting it were very good. No awkward silences or repetitive waffle so it's a huge thumbs up from me. Will certainly be checking out previous material.
Did anyone else feel a bit emotional at the end? I don't think I realised just how much running a football club can affect a person's health or mental state. I will forever be thankful to Dean for everything he's done for us. Bloody top bloke.

Appreciate the comments! It was definitely emotional at times, Dean is a great fella and really down to earth. I think we should all be very grateful for the football experiences he brought to us.

Partway through the podcast, really enjoying it, great work and massive kudos to the lads involved. I wonder if Deano has considered writing a book on his time in charge of the club? He should get one written on his life.

I'm guessing that understandably Dean wasn't prepared to go anywhere near subjects that affected current employees. Discussing the merits of Rebbe and recent signings still contracted to the club would have been understandably off limits I guess. Wagner asked for wingers, got wingers, then didn't play them seems to be the official line which is obviously true.

I’ve tried twice to listen to it on SoundCloud on my iPhone and it cut out both times at about 20 minutes. How do you fast forward on SoundCloud anyone? Might have to wait till I get back home so I can listen on my iMac. On the IOS app tap and hold where the current played/remaining time is shown and drag left or right.
