4 points out of a possible 45, 9 scored,36 conceded yes it’s must win or have you forgotten? I’m sorry it was the big boys league, not pop and crisps so it doesn’t count! You sound like the quitter tbh

I'm not so sure after today's results. It's true in this league anyone CAN beat anyone. Derby will be bang at it and are a good side so let's not get too cocky. I hope our players and Jan know they cant just turn up and get a result.
We need to be 100% on it.

We’ve gone from being a point off the top with a game in hand to joint bottom in 24 hours. If that doesn’t make Monday’s game a must win I don’t know what would.

Just had a few jars with a Derby fan. He wasn't claiming any victory in advance though he said the recent big defenders they'd signed (ones about 6'5 apparently) might be handy. Otherwise he's not sure how they will do. Lousy pre season and a manager unfamiliar with the English leagues. Could be an interesting matchup.

The interesting thing for me is we do not have a bad team, and didn't in the prem. We lacked in certain areas and sunk into playing to avoid defeat rather than going for it. We appear, from pre-season performances, to have come out of that. I have no real idea how well we will do this season but I don't feel like we are knackered before we start, which is how I felt for a chunk of last season. We have some fire again. Looking forward to Monday. My main worry is if we go a goal down, heads will drop and we’re very quick to throw the towel in,as shown last season. This isn’t a new team 80% of last seasons quitters are still here.A couple of conference and L2 players aren’t going to help that.To me this is a must win game, win and we could fly on confidence, lose and last season could happen again. Like their heads dropped when Rochdale went in front, or Montpellier ? 🤔

Our game isn't about lumping it up front so not sure tall centre halves will be much of a help. They could do with quick ones to keep up with Grant, Diakhaby, Mbenza, VLP etc

We'll just get Pritch to nutmeg them, but with the added genius of the player taking the same route as the ball...

Looking forward to this game. It's good to be back in the championship in terms of unpredictability and entertainment. The Premiership is beyond sterile, it's like going to the Olympics knowing who will win gold, silver, bronze and the three behind them.
I've no idea what the score will be, could be 6-0, 0-6, 0-0.

The past is gone, tomorrow is the best opportunity to put it to bed and start a fresh history.
The performance is more important than the result. 3 years ago Brentford at home set a tone which delivered something outstanding. How the team perform and the team spirit is everything. 90 mins will tell us if these players and the coach are as one, and that is want I want to see most of all.
I am sure the fans will create an atmosphere in keeping with what we have come to expect.

So if my maths is correct. We only need to match Leeds's result (3-1) tomorrow and we go top in alphabetical order.

A good start to the season is vital for us, more so than in previous seasons I think. If we can build a bit of early momentum the fans will drive the team onwards and upwards. We really need to have some belief everything has worked out right, and Jan really is the man. Can't imagine the doom on here if we lose badly and end up bottom after Monday night.

I remember losing at home to York who won there first 3 games and were top. They went down that season and disappeared off the football map soon after. I do think though, after last season the team do get out of the losing habit.

Yes and actually., although I would usually say pre season friendlies are immaterial other than to gain fitness and structure, I think it's been really valuable for town that pre season has allowed us to break the losing habit

On my early morning holmfirth run i relected on how lovely the first day of a new season usually is ! Except its not this year, no match til a monday night for the Town. Really lowers the mood imo and Stops Some socioeconomic Movement. Try some fibre.
