Has the mbenza/ diakhaby fixation waned yet ? Diakhaby was our biggest threat tonight. No one else got in behind like him Mbenza did ok when he came on. Some decent touches and passes. Wasn't helped by Kongolo playing like a spanner Diakhaby is breathtakingly quick but he ain't a footballer mate.. Mbenza I'll reserve final judgement but I have doubts |

Have to say absolutely nothing has changed. What on earth have they been doing pre season? I actually thought we looked worse than last season the main difference being the opposition. Imagine if that was Liverpool or City we were playing tonight. They kept on giving us the ball yet we did fuck all with it. We look clueless. So true. I couldn’t get used to how much they gave the ball back to us! I started thinking we should piss this league! Then we gave them their head start. Has Jan told them they MUST always give the opposition a goal head start. That’s just meant to be in training exercises Jan. |

I thought MBenza did OK when he came on. One thing he can do that Flo cannot is cross a ball.

Didn't turn up for the first 25 minutes and it took the crowd almost turning on the players for them to switch on. Mooy was shite. Schindler was shite. Elphick was shite. Grant was good, and Jan took him off for Colin fucking Quaner with 5 minutes to go. Shite. Shite. No, you are quite wrong - horrific is when someone throws a young boy off the tenth floor of the Tate Gallery. YOU need to get some perspective and not come out with knee-jerk one word thread titles! Can it be a knee-jerk reaction when we have been so shite for so long,,how long is it untill its not a knee jerk? |

Flos crossing was poor but the lack of players in the box again is mind blowing.
Overall, Elphick had a shocker. We need 2 full backs who can get forward and cross
Move TK to centre back and find these 3 loans of a similar standard to Mooy. What a fecking stupid thing to say by the way and then not bring them in. Benefit of the doubt, maybe the keeper is one.

Diakhaby has pace to burn but wants to take about 5 touches too many. If i had to choose 3 diakhabys up front or 3 pritchards i would still choose pritchard despite his lack of pace and height |

Flo frustrates but I had to feel sorry for him on occasion due to a total lack of any movement, both in the box and closer to him. Lack of movement will make any player look crap, even Mooy at times. A familiar theme throughout the pitch, lack of movement and no real pattern of play. Same old I'm afraid, some good bits of play but more down to individual skill than teamwork. I hope they now realise that both of these wingers were rank bad buys. How much longer do we have to wait for them to show promise.? Stop messing and bring back the winger already proven at this level. VLP. |

- Hadergjonaj can’t cross.
- NO attacking runs whatsoever, especially second half.
- Kongolo is utterly wasted at lb, we need to bring in a proper left back and move kongolo into centre back.
- Elphick has a nightmare and was at fault for our first goal.
- Mooy looked a shadow of his old self, especially in the first half.
- Hogg wasn’t great.
- Bacuna looked dreadful.
- Second half there was no attacking runs from any of our players. We would have the ball with Mooy in the middle or someone on the flank and our players would just be static. Then we would be forced to pass back and pass to the other flank. Rinse and repeat. Eventually someone will get fed up and try and play an ambitious pass to someone only to fail and lose possession. Or they would try and take on the defenders only to lose the ball. Or even take a shot from distance and blaze it over. This was the story of the second half at least.
- kachunga missed an absolute sitter, can’t afford to miss those,
- our corners were quite poor.
- we were not in control at all.
- Finally, Siewart deciding to take off Grant and put on Collin in the last 5 when we really needed a goal is ridiculous.

They'd get some right shit on here That's what VLP managed in 2016/17 The big difference is VLP knows exactly what he wants to do with it. Doesn’t always or even often come off but AT LEAST HE KNOWS. These lads don’t know what to do with the ball and Ben in this league with more space they both were far too slow of thought. It’s like they’re very new to the game- pushed into it because of their pace. Is there a video of these guys doing anything good? Like beating a man and getting a shot off and scoring? That might help your argument as no one at Town has seen more than the odd very slight glimpse. |
