Didn’t promise anything, and also explained not all the deals they were trying to work would come to fruition. And brought in TWO Premier League loans...or have you forgotten the Polish u21 international? No, the one loan I was referring to was Grabara and Chalobah wasn’t signed when I made that comment. Still only 2 out of 3. Only 2 out of 3 what?? They were working on 3 loans, no promises or guarantees. To get two in of the undoubted quality they have is a success. We may find out in time who the third was, who might have been sold / injured for all we know. It’s not as though we’re struggling to name an XI and subs.

It’s been a poor transfer window, not denying it. Results have been terrible the last 18 months, not denying it. But some of the vitriolic comments and mob type mentality on here since Monday evening has been fucking embarrassing, genuinely embarrassing.

A message on Facebook from Sean Jarvis
Firstly, I am Commercial Director of the Club, so player transfers are not directly under my jurisdiction. These are controlled by our Football Forum team.
However, as a director of the Club and one that has embraced social media I am willing to comment.
Today is a sad day for the Club...., it always is when one of our best players goes to another Club. We are all gutted. However we have to move on.
In this instance, I understand, understandably Aaron wanted to play in the PL, we cant stand in anyone’s way.
It is a shame that the players we want, want to leave or we are unable to accommodate their requests... genuinely we would love them to stay, but business decisions are always made in the best interest of Huddersfield Town. Players will come and players will go. We at the board will have to make some tough decisions, that not everyone will agree with and sometimes these are taken out of our hands, so we have to make the best decision in difficult circumstances for the Club.
Over the years players have gone but the Club goes on - we will always do our best to try and move the Club forwards. That’s what I have always aimed to do and am certain that our Chairman and his board will do too
These are difficult and challenging times for us as we try to readjust and ensure the continued future of Huddersfield Town is protected and we have a team that wants to play for us.
We have to remain strong and unified, especially when challenges are thrown at us.
Phil Hodgkinson is the right man for the job and has Huddersfield running through his veins.
We need your backing now more than ever.
As for Aaron, I wish him every success in his loan spell and his future. For now I thank him for the memories he has given us. I also welcome Trevoh and hope he gives us just as good if not better memories.
UTT

Some people are getting way out of order, and probably NEVER happy with anything. Stop panicking, PH seems to have his head screwed on the right way. He's only recently taken over the club, and with a new manager in place, and a new division too. It's going to take a while to get to grips with everything, it's not an easy job.
He's obviusly liquidating assets that don't want to be with us any longer and reducing the wage bill, this will raise money, either to be re-invested or put some aside for a rainy day to keep the lights on should it ever be needed.
He'll then see what Siewert can do for the first half of the season and perhaps get more players in January. If JS loses the next few games, he'll probably be out anyway, so no point in getting in lots of new players that a new manager may not want anyway.

Great balanced words from Sean as usual, but why on Earth is he being hung out to dry and feeling the need to come out and say anything??
Where are the Chairman Phil Hodgkinson, the Chief Executive Julian Winter, or the Head of Football Operations David Webb, all of whom who should be out there talking about the football aspects of the club ahead of Sean.

"We need your backing more than ever"
That could be something to do with the abysmal transfer window.
GK Lossl out, Grabara in. LB Lowe and Durm out, 0 in. CB Zanka out, Elphick in RB Smith out, Bochirst in CM Williams, Mooy, Billing out, Chalobah & Brown in. Wing 0 out, Koroma in ST Depoitre out, 0 in.
In this 1 in 1 out situation, we've let 9 go and brought in 6. We already had a thin squad. We are a Kongolo injury away from being screwed at the back.

The club has gone form being well run and prepared for a drop off in revenue by not overspending to being in difficult and challenging times where we need to readjust. Which by sheer coincidence happened at the same time Dean Hoyle handed the reigns over to Hodgkinson. Fans of any club would be confused, worried and somewhat angry in the same circumstances. There is no ligation on Hodgkinson to clarify the situation but if he doesn’t and we lose the next few games, it could get pretty toxic very quickly.

My reading is that the board aren’t willing to back jan. He’s had 6/7 months in the job, must have had transfer targets but for whatever reason we’ve spent the bare minimum.
To be honest I’ve not seen much that would lead me to disagree with them.
Whatever the reason this window is a shambles. Dont see where the creativity is in this team.

2 seasons in premier league and Town fans turn into a bunch of entitled teenagers. let's be honest here Mooy hasn't even been in our top 3 players since december. we need more bite and energy in the middle chalobah will allow hogg and Bacuna to press higher up the pitch which, for the system we want to play is more important than Mooys metronomic style. I think this could be a positive. I am sad to see Mooy leave but when he is on the field all the players look too him, he became almost too important which means when he plays poorly so do we. This move allows us to move away from that mindset and maybe be a little less one dimensional.

They are just rightly asking why when we’ve been in the Premier League for two seasons we have a budget as low, if not lower than the Powell days, and why we’ve not got a recognised senior left back in the squad. Genuine and perfectly reasonable questions.

The playing budget this season is a minimum of 5x what we operated under with Powell, if not more. It’s the largest non EPL playing budget we’ve ever had, by a margin of multiple times, and that’s the fact. And this is the problem, there’s so much utter codswallop being thrown around the club that it’s difficult to ask and get answers and opinions of any real substance, as there’s far too many idiots spouting crap.

Dean Hoyle has been wonderful for our club - and hopefully will continue to be so in the future. Let us not forget who offered the club to PH - surely he knew what he was doing?! That said he hasn't always made the best of judgements when making appointments - perhaps the exception being Webber who was instrumental in bringing in Wagner. Lets give the bloke a chance - he's only been here two minutes and if he is as big a Town fan as we are led to believe he won't go out to a bad job on purpose I'm sure.

They are lower because he says they are. The facts mean nothing, basic common sense means nothing as it does not suit his opinion. Once the opinion has been blathered out there it must be defended at all costs and ignoring the bleeding obvious is just one of the weapons he can use.

I don't care that Mooy has gone, I've been expecting it since December last year and if it means O'Brien or Brown might get more first team football then what the hell, let's see where it goes.
I don't care that we haven't spent a fortune this summer.
I don't care how much money Phil has or hasn't got. That's his business and between Dean Hoyle and the FA, they've we decided he has the right financial credentials. That's more than enough for me.
I don't care that we haven't gotten too many prem loans. Not all will work out and we can't sign them all.
However...
I do care that Kongolo will be out of position for half a season at least. I care even more that Elphick has been deemed good enough to move him out there. How does a fan of the club allow that to happen?
Most of all, I care that we've still got a manager who, despite having no pressure and 6 months to implement his own ideas and stamp his style on the team, has learned absolutely nothing. I'll never wish defeat on us, but we need to get shut of this amateur as soon as possible. The next big signing we need to make is one for the dugout.
And then a left back, obviously.
