If you are reading this PH I have just one thing to say to you. The price of success is far often much cheaper than the price of failure.

I’m pissed off we haven’t signed a left back but there’s not much the club can do when someone comes in at the eleventh hour to prise one of your players away. It’s far too late to start pursuing targets and the only other option is to have an unhappy player on your books who can leave on a free in 12 months time. As it stands I expect we’ll have received a substantial loan fee and Mooy has the opportunity to have a successful season in the prem and get us a big fee since he’d still be under contract to us for two years. If we’ve only lost Mooy and Billing from our first team plans this summer I don’t think we can complain too much. I’d have been much more upset if we lost any of Schindler, Kongolo or Grant. We have a wealth of talent in centre midfield, exciting, dynamic and young. This is an opportunity for Reece Brown and Lewis O’Brien to make a name for themselves and we’ve got the lad from Chelsea. I'll complain, we sold 25 million worth of players and brought in FUCK ALL. We have a team still demoralised from winning 1 game in about 20 and a manager who is absolute dog shit. Selling mooy is just the tip of the shitberg that Hodgkinson has created. I could have bought the club in the same way and I would have done a better job

Pathetic transfer window. Promised 3 premier league loans, we got 1. Compulsive liar. We got 2, and the third had lined up, trial in a few games and returned as not good enough. Unsure why he is a liar.

No, the one loan I was referring to was Grabara and Chalobah wasn’t signed when I made that comment. Still only 2 out of 3. Only 2 out of 3 what?? They were working on 3 loans, no promises or guarantees. To get two in of the undoubted quality they have is a success. We may find out in time who the third was, who might have been sold / injured for all we know. It’s not as though we’re struggling to name an XI and subs. Real quality of a bloke who got relegated with Ipswich alongside Quaner who’s looked at as a shining light this year!! It’s going to be a long season. Thank god for alcohol whilst watching town

But do you want success today, and risk bankrupting the club, or are you prepared to wait a season or two for him to sort his inherited mess out and get the club back on track and challenging for promotion again?

Well I for one trust in Dean. He chose Siewert & Hodgkinson. Dean still has interest in town & will not let us down. So now as we trusted in Dean. I now will trust in Phil.
Perhaps we are waiting for our new head of football or whatever his title is to get down to work & bring some top players in in January.
Phil said it would be a painful deadline & it has been. Rome wasn't built in a day. The dynamics of the team have changed & we need a different kind of player in for it.

C’mon. Why is anyone trying to defend the current situation? We have a manager with absolutely no track record and a current win percentage of 6% with us. What about his performance suggested he would be a good fit for the relentless challenge of the Championship? We’ve wasted another summer scratching our arses. We’ve collected millions in transfer fees and spent the money on an over the hill CB and two young kids from the lower reaches of English football. We were more ambitious pre PL. It’s piss poor.

Because no doubt next summer we will lose some of our best players again. then this squad will seriously be lacking quality. This is why we should have had a HoFO in by February transition should be constant, this summer is when we should have been filling the weaker spots alongside the quality we still have remaining from our last promotion/PL spot. We've managed to sort the outgoings in the 2 months but we have to wait to replace? Dont see the logic, Its only going to become more of a mess if the team dont do well.

So, Phil was in charge for the previous 2 transfer windows and allowed Mooy's contract to get to within one year of expiry ?

It's very poor. I don't know why everyone is saying 'OoOo Do yoU WaNT tO Go BanKRupt' fuck off. We went up on a shoestring budget and still managed to recruit top players. We've got even more money now and we haven't done a thing!

It seems quite clear to me:-
1. PH had the money to buy 75% of the club from Dean Hoyle, with staged payments which probably suited both parties, PH because he didn't have all of the cash upfront and Dean so it didn't all fall in the same tax year. The suggestion that PH could use club funds and revenues (current or future) to do this is ludicrous, and anyone who knows anything about how limited companies work will understand this.
2. PH does not have enough money to fund the club at between £5m and £7m per annum ongoing like Dean Hoyle did if we stay outside the PL, and is therefore building up a positive balance to cover the years after the parachute payments run out. He also has to factor in the eventual repayment of the £50m we still owe Dean.
3. If I am right then he has a conundrum to face - the only way we could ever realistically pay Dean back is by getting into the PL, but achieving that depends on PH abandoning his positive cash balance model. And the positive cash balance will only last so long anyway.
Good luck with squaring the circle Phil.

Something has to change and quickly, either the formation or the manager or both.

A message on Facebook from Sean Jarvis Firstly, I am Commercial Director of the Club, so player transfers are not directly under my jurisdiction. These are controlled by our Football Forum team. However, as a director of the Club and one that has embraced social media I am willing to comment. Today is a sad day for the Club...., it always is when one of our best players goes to another Club. We are all gutted. However we have to move on. In this instance, I understand, understandably Aaron wanted to play in the PL, we cant stand in anyone’s way. It is a shame that the players we want, want to leave or we are unable to accommodate their requests... genuinely we would love them to stay, but business decisions are always made in the best interest of Huddersfield Town. Players will come and players will go. We at the board will have to make some tough decisions, that not everyone will agree with and sometimes these are taken out of our hands, so we have to make the best decision in difficult circumstances for the Club. Over the years players have gone but the Club goes on - we will always do our best to try and move the Club forwards. That’s what I have always aimed to do and am certain that our Chairman and his board will do too These are difficult and challenging times for us as we try to readjust and ensure the continued future of Huddersfield Town is protected and we have a team that wants to play for us. We have to remain strong and unified, especially when challenges are thrown at us. Phil Hodgkinson is the right man for the job and has Huddersfield running through his veins. We need your backing now more than ever. As for Aaron, I wish him every success in his loan spell and his future. For now I thank him for the memories he has given us. I also welcome Trevoh and hope he gives us just as good if not better memories. UTT Sean more shite we have yet again failed in the transfer window and learnt fuck all from last season. What lesson were you expecting to have been learned? I'd have thought that: "Make sure you get the right players and if you can't don't spend a load of money on some who aren't going to play" was a pretty good one.
