Fans are well within their rights to be absolutely fuming at what's happening. We've been relegated to the Championship and rightly so expectations should be high that we can make it back (I know teams rarely do) but we should at least feel like we're in a position to compete.
We took the parachute payments comments on board and fair enough, we don't want to put the club at financial risk but c'mon letting X amount of players leave freeing up wages, then selling Billing, Zanka, Smith and freeing up out highest earner to bring in absolutely nobody is obviously leaving fans wondering what is going on with our club.
This is even harder to take when we were promised players that never arrived and promised things were in place should any of our key players leave. The guy is a bare faced fucking liar and we were warned.

If most of the fan base are pissed off.... imagine how Jan feels, writing is on the wall for him, trying to push under the bus by the looks of things.
I listened to all the Q&A and I can tell you what has happened isnt what was promised, cant see the new chairman ever winning the fans over. We would need a quality late addition to the team. Trevor is that I'm afraid, as much as he is a decent signing, hes not Mooy or equivalent.

I’m pissed off we haven’t signed a left back but there’s not much the club can do when someone comes in at the eleventh hour to prise one of your players away. It’s far too late to start pursuing targets and the only other option is to have an unhappy player on your books who can leave on a free in 12 months time. As it stands I expect we’ll have received a substantial loan fee and Mooy has the opportunity to have a successful season in the prem and get us a big fee since he’d still be under contract to us for two years.
If we’ve only lost Mooy and Billing from our first team plans this summer I don’t think we can complain too much. I’d have been much more upset if we lost any of Schindler, Kongolo or Grant. We have a wealth of talent in centre midfield, exciting, dynamic and young. This is an opportunity for Reece Brown and Lewis O’Brien to make a name for themselves and we’ve got the lad from Chelsea.
