Bury is part of Greater Manchester and within a stones throw of Gigg Lane are 2 superpowers of world football with more money than i could possibly comprehend. Both Manchester 'giants' profess to be clubs for the people...so the fact they havent even offered to help Bury's plight is shocking to be honest. All it does is cement the fact that no matter how much they go on about tradition etc, all they really are are cash cows and ego massagers for their respective owners. That would open a huge can of worms and set a very bad precedent, although I get where you're coming from. Law of the jungle out there unfortunately for money stricken clubs. Today’s the day; Loyal football fans are the same the world over; memories of 2003...

To be honest you'd think he might want to help with the club bring close to his dad's heart. But without some kind of plan for the future he'd just be shovelling cash in to a black hole.

He probably would like to, but like you say, financing a football club isn't that easy especially if you don't have the time to really invest into it to make is successful (as he doesn't).

Too much risk in him doing that. Salford are in a much better position that Bury moving forward, as long as Lim doesn't get bored.

The Accrington Chairman is a seriously good guy. His twitter rants on the EFL and finances in the leagues are superb on their own, but he's now trying to help the sale of the club by both talking to Dale and potntial buyers.
He doesn't have to, but he understands what football clubs are to their communities.

The EFL are not blameless in this tragedy. They let Bury down badly by not doing due diligence on this Steve Dale guy.

Sincerely hope for Bury fans this turns out to be true .This could have been us .We were saved so hope they are too. I have many fond memories of Gigg Lane . There can't be many teams that we have had so many high scoring games against, 0-6, 6-0, 4-4 & 3-3 spring to mind. Always a decent trip to Gigg Lane and we once got away with parking in one of the directors parking spaces. Happy days and I hope they survive.

This is the company Dale is rumoured to be selling to but I wouldn't be getting my hopes up too much if I were a Bury fan. Looking at them on the Companies House website they appear to make Phil look like Bill Gates beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10537471

What they going to do? Give Gigg Lane a deep clean? Rumour has it they're doing a quick car boot to raise the last bit of funds needed.

My suggestion is they return all those goods to their original suppliers who most likely won’t get paid for them. That might keep some of those ‘forgotten’ people in a job who everyone conveniently forgets about when we’re all feeling sorry for the players and backroom staff who don’t get paid for a few weeks while a new owner is found.

Extraordinary that Dale apparently said, after buying the club, that he did not know Bury had a football club!! Fit and proper and all that!!

Hasn't Dale been involved as a director at about 20 companies that have all gone to the wall? Fit and proper my arse.

Just been down with my mate from TUFC helping clean the stands and the seats. Put our manager and league position situation in to context.
