Just think of those fans that stopped going when Powell was gaffer then moaned like fuck when they couldn't get a ticket for Old Trafford. "Fuck em" I thought. Similar now. On to Luton! I kept going under Powell because we sometimes played well, we sometimes won and sometimes we did both!

I was generally apathetic while town were in the premiership as it was expected that we would struggle to compete. But by God I was angry yesterday. Just at the sheer waste of it all and then for the coach to say we were unfit. What the fuck

My season ticket remains unused. I used to travel up from Devon regularly but it is hard to motivate myself under the current circumstances. Not just the results but the apparent dysfunction within the club. Just on this. It does appear like PH has inherited this dysfunction rather thsn created it . Maybe we need to cut him a little slack ? Are you saying St Dean has left him a steaming turd?

Every defeat hurts, and yes I detach myself from it all now...luckily I'm still on holiday so haven't seen a game yet, my season card still on the doormat.. luckily cricket has been a distraction and i watched that rather than follow the town game for 90 minutes. What does make me angry is the decision making at board level which is 100% the reason why we are where we are...and what has been said from the board, anything ? An apology, a new plan, nope...fook the fans it seems...

Not sure if anyone else feels the same but I’m so tired of losing that I am starting to detach emotionally. What I mean by this is I’m stopping caring as much what happens to us. This is what the club needs to be concerned about, it’s not the value of X,Y,Z it’s the enjoyment and engagement the fans take from attending matches. Really concerned we’re close to being in a position that no one will be able to turn round without a massive reset. I’m more than happy to accept the position we’re in the reasons for it etc... but the club needs to also accept that there has been some massive mismanagement and the fans are close to deserting in droves. 4 wins in 54 is more than most can cope with, I love the club but these are dire times. You clearly haven't been married for 20 years Lol, 16 years

So in summary. People like it when we win and dont when we dont TBF that's way too simplistic Ted. Any Town fan of a reasonable vintage has seen a lot of losses. A fair % will have seen us drop to the 4th division twice. If we couldn't cope with losing then we'd have jacked it in years ago. What is harder to take is plain and simple incompetence. A player like Mbenza. I've given up hoping he'll try, just looking interested would be an improvement. The team just looking knackered. The string of late goals seemed more than coincidence and our caretaker manager now confirms what we'd thought. The silence from the club on the likes of the Mooy fiasco (I'd LOVE to know when it was recognised we didn't have an option - because if we did, waiting as late as we did to get a new contract signed is ciminal). The fact the financial numbers just don't seem to add up. I accept your point everyone's guessing but if it would relieve the tension why not put us straight? (my fear is that telling us the facts would make things worse). What we're seeing at the moment simply shouldn't have happened.

Think I’ve already detached. The first season in the prem probably kept my passion for it a little bit longer. I follow the results, but can’t say I care enough.
I’ve a season ticket, but not been yet this season and only bothered going twice last season.
I got the notifications of yesterday’s goals and didn’t change my mood at all.
Think like many others I’m bored of the endless circle of cliché talk. The football isn’t entertaining and I refuse to waste what little free time I have on watching it.

Very fed up with Town and like most have better things I can do on my weekend than watch the same faces trudge off the field in defeat - only Hogg, vlp and Schindler survive now in the first 11 from the play off final.
For me it’s at Powell levels now of apathy - I just struggle to see this downward spiral ending at least before January and the players and clubs sound bites are proving hollow words.
I’m going right now because of the people I watch the games with - it’s great to spend time with them. The actual game is actually something I’ve rarely enjoyed for nearon a year

I can only see Winter as being ultimately responsible for the Mooy contract situation. Who knows what he does, but that is unforgivable. Having done some reading up on him there is very little to be inspired about in his past. He should be ultimately responsible for all club operations......that’s what he gets paid for. In that case, I’m struggling to see how how huge parts of this mess aren’t down to him in one shape or another.

My memory is not like it was but in the mist of time(or was it a dream) a win against Wolves --I think? Having said that, there were some really good bits of football from Town yesterday, but not enough. If,as we know, the players were not fit enough surely, Jan should have realised that or should have been told or was told(we have enough staff to point it out) that this is the Championship not friendly matches in Austria.

We did actually play well for the first 70 minutes, went behind and that was it. Same old inability to score, which has been a problem, despite promotion, for the last 3 seasons. What is unforgivable is that club have failed to address to address the goalscoring issue, trying to cover it up hoping that dross like Mbenza and Diakhaby would chip in. It's criminal.

I actually thought like many others that for the first 60 minutes that was the best we had played this season. Then to see us tire and lose like we did made even this most positive of fans despair. I am not detached emotionally but I will be detached until the Millwall game as off out of the country. Hopefully by the time myself and better half get back things will be sorted and we will be fit ,winning and on an even keel.

We are all f*cked off because we care!
When it comes that first victory will be all the more sweeter for what we have endured. And when we string a couple of results together the past will soon be forgotten & we will be looking forwards rather than back once again.

Like someone else said, ditching away games for the forseeable future -not paying probably just short of £100 for each of us when you add everything up, to see that dross. I know many saw an improvement for the first 60 mins or so, but lets be honest still no bite, urgency or drive in the final third and lets be frank Reading were as poor a team as we're like to see here this season, our friends up the A62 would have smashed em to pieces.

I've been there for some time, Rich. And it's not just Town themselves, but football in general. Someone posted recently about the death of the professional game, highlighting VAR, the financial gulf between the elite and clubs like ours, the constant simulation to win free-kicks on the halfway line. All of it has led me to not have as much passion for the game as I used to have 10-15 years ago. I'm 40 years old, and I love being a Town fan, but when I was younger results like today's (or any defeat you care to mention) would have ruined my whole weekend. But now, it doesn't have the same effect. I'm all about acceptance. Then I often think of the time I spend watching Town, I could be doing other things I enjoy. Playing a round of golf, or going for a ride. We're expecting our first child anytime soon (today was the due date, but alas, no arrival) so going forward my weekends will be all about spending time with my family. She will be still be brought up as a Town fan, but with runs like we've had over the past season and a half, subjecting her to this is tantamount to child cruelty. Finally, for me, being in the PL was both the best thing in the world as a Town fan, and the worst experience I have ever had watching my team. And I include spells under Wadsworth and Powell (although less so, there). Even going down to League Two was bearable, as we were competitive. If I'd known where we are now would be the fall-out from our time in the PL, I'd happily have stayed in the Championship. Some will ridicule that comment, but I'm that apathetic with the whole situation, I don't really care anymore. Nice to hear of a slightly older first time dad like me. Very best of luck with everything. Football pales into insignificance compared to parenthood. I had thought the plan was to be promoted, try and survive then use the windfall to in price our medium/long term chances in the championship. At some point that plan changed and we now have a different regime. Football is a simple game still. We need a good manager. Get this appointment right and HTFC can come right back into good form again. It will always be a great club with many devoted fans.

Not to see Town as those fans stop going meant Dean decided to change things and bring in Wagner. What a pile of warped, disloyal, logic that is. I repeat "Fuck em" My team forever, not a whim. What about the fans that wanted Wagner out in year one and two of the prem? They brought about Siewart! But then the fans who wanted Siewart out have brought about Hudson, so far.

I do rate him as a coach but if the fitness levels are not right he along with his staff have to take the blame I don't deny that See im at a loss .. how.can a "good coach" produce a team playing a formation that they dont understand, cant implement, and cant last more than three quarters of a game playing.. there are red lights for me screaming "not fit to coach " Im so angry weve completely blown our brains on this charlatan I understand your frustration and we all or feeling it but the bottom line is the investment has been poor and whatever system you play its down to the players and don't forget its been not taking chances that as been the problem for a while.Yes it hasn't worked for siewart but as a qualified coach my self I repeat what I said before you don't coach at Dortmund if you are a mug.whoever takes over has a job on but keep your posts coming chips at least most are constructive not like a lot on here

I totally get where the OP is coming from. I hate that I feel that way. I've supported Town for 30 years and this is the first time I have felt this way. As soon as we concede, a point is the absolute maximum you could hope for.
We look like we can't be bothered and then just usually pass it around slowly. The apparent lack of interest/effort on the pitch is starting (started over a year ago?) to transfer to supporters. 'If they cant be arsed, why should I?'
We take so long to get the ball forward, the opposition has 9-11 men behind the ball before we think about having a go. For a team with the pace we have (Mbenza, Diakhaby, Van La Parra, Grant) that is a ridiculous scenario. Counter attacking football requires a rapid response to opposition attacks, otherwise you're just inviting pressure onto you with nothing for the opposition to think about.
Our marking is generally shite too, possibly because we are too lazy or unfit to track a run).

Apathy is the word i'd use about the current state of affairs.
For years i've gone to games with 5 other blokes, and we've taken 9 kids between us.
Today i was the only adult and my youngest was the only child.
Out of our group, three blokes and five kids, all 400+ points and have barely missed a game home and away for three seasons, these aren't plastics I'm talking about.
