Yorkshire Amateurs vs Scarborough Athletic today: " 2-1 win for Boro at the 'Ammers!
Triallists in today’s squad
Lloyd Allinson - Former Huddersfield, Chesterfield & Gainsborough keeper.
Harry Sheppard - full-back, formerly of Sheffield United.
Tom Devitt - Defender, was at Gateshead and Blyth.
Seems like triallist keeper Allinson kept us in the game with two late saves in 83 & 87 mins, having made some decent saves earlier in the game."
As I recall he was bloody awful for us in his one moment in the spotlight, replacing the red-carded Ward at home to Cardiff in the last game of the 2016/17 season. Total 'rabbit in the headlights' performance. Better than Smithies start as a pro. |

Just had a look at Danny Cowley’s twitter profile. He’s liked this tweet by AlanAlanLee19:
“Funny that Carlos's first signing seems exactly the type of player Danny Cowley would have signed. #htafc”
Considering that’s the first thing he’s done on twitter since leaving the Club, it goes to show what sort of man he is. Bitter.

Hilarious how the Cowleys have suddenly become scum of the earth on here after saving is from relegating, then getting sacked, then writing a fairly lame piece in the National press in the hope it might help them get another job! Anyone know the story behind Andy Hughes leaving Sheffield United from his U-23 coaching role? Only been there since last August and the role has been immediately advertised - new position to go to, sacked, didn't fit... Harry Bunn has joined York City having been released by Kilmarnock. At aged 27 that's some fall down the leagues, from being in the squad that got promoted to the Premier League.

Just a quick check and he scored 9 from 30 appearances for Town in 2014/15 in the Championship and he offered us something slightly different to the other players at the time. I can't recall him having had any major injuries, but he may have. And who can forget the slowest volley of all time from the edge of the area in off the post at Elland Road to put Town ahead. He should be in his prime. Is the fall from grace physical, luck or confidence / motivation? That's a rhetorical question by the way. |

Sold him to Bury after getting promoted when he was definitely good enough for the Championship. It was when they were paying through the nose for players so they probably offered way over the odds for him. The thing that went under the radar for me was that he was without a club at all from last August til this January. Surprised nobody took a chance on him in that time, not least us considering how strapped we were for players at one point. |
