Second time watching the women today. Made harder work than they should have done TBH against a team they beat 6-0 earlier in the season. With the vast majority of the game in Loughborough's half, caught on the break a couple of times. More pace at the back needed I wonder? Still in awe of Katie Nutter but she didn't play quite as well today (although still looked the class footballer). Sarah Danby played well and Kate Mallin made the difference in the second half. Hope they get another tie in the East Midlands.

If I hadn't already promised to do something elsewhere I would have nipped down to watch that.

Looked too big and pacey for our back three with those long balls over the top. Absolutely cannot fault the great spirit to come back in the second though. Thankfully we gambled a bit more in the box and it paid off. Agree that Mallin looked class out on that left side, and I thought Ellie White had a good game in the middle once she stopped holding onto it for too long!

Drawn at home to Ipswich Town
Ipswich are the in tier below Town so a good chance to progress although they are top of their league and haven't lost a league game this season.
There is also a Manchester Derby in the 4th round.

They were back at their own ground, the University of Loughborough Stadium.

Are the womens team officially affiliated with Town?
I know they wear the kit etc. but from what I can see the mens side of everything never has information on the womens team, are they a totally separate body?

Information tucked away on the Town website. www.htafc.com/club/town-women/

Not sure what it is about football that makes it think that it should follow different financial rules to other businesses or organisations. If the money isn't there then you fold. If they can't raise money through sponsorship, or by attracting investors who are prepared to pump money into individual clubs or by attracting people to pay and watch it then they should call it a day or keep it strictly amateur. Do they think that Sky should pump millions into it so that they can pay these people the same as they do in the men's game? Because if they did and Sky increased my subscription fees by 50% then people would just stop their Sky subscriptions. I know I would.

With this in mind didn't the Ladies lose money on the away ties they played last season with them being trips to London?

HTFC women to play their first ever game at John Smiths Stadium on the 26th. I guess that was the exciting news. I honestly cannot contain myself (!) It's exciting for the womens team, no one's asked you to go

It's exciting for the womens team, no one's asked you to go I did hazard a guess that may be the news. Was actually thinking the other day whether they could play the game there, with Ipswich having to travel a long way, and the chances it may be called off at Shelley FC if bad weather. Good on them and hope it is a good turn out

Could be a few goals at the JSS next Sunday 12-0 final score Pleased for the girls of course but it's a little sad that Doncaster Belles who did so much for the women's game (particularly in the North) when it was NOTHING like as fashionable as it is now have slumped so far. I lost my heart to the Belles by Pete Davies (who wrote All Played out - one of (if not the) best book I've ever read on football) is a tremendous read. PS Are you getting a little overconfident about next week RT? Ipswich are top of their league and (generally) Southern teams are now stronger. Really torn about whether or not to come up for the game, but it's seeming like a long drive at the moment (but perhaps that is because of "First Halfs" like I've endured in the last three mens games).

No not overconfident, will definitely be a tough game I think. Ipswich going well in their league and won 14-0 themselves today. Both teams score a lot so the potential is there for plenty of goals.

Anyone thinking of going down to the JSS tomorrow and supporting the women’s team in their 4th round FA cup game?
Also, anyone know if there is going to be any restricted match day parking or can we park in the stadium car parks?

Must be about 90% possession for Town and yet they're 4-0 down 🤨. Quite enjoying the game though.
