I'm going to go watch them more often after that, like the men they were hamstrung by a lack of pace but Ipswich were clinical but jammy

Was a pretty good game. Ipswich attacked 5 times in the first half and scored 4. The main issue is a lack of pace and power. Some capable players - Katie Nutter, Lucy Sowerby and the young left back all looked good, and Kate Mallin is probably good enough for a higher level.

Yeah - for me it was between her and Mallin, but I just felt Mallin looked most likely to make summat happen. Kate nutter came into her own later on. Also liked the oook of Danby - solid midfielder, a bit Hogg-esque but without the whining. |

Think Town would have stood more chance with a traffic cone in goal.
I'm sure those that went enjoyed watching, but the general standard is schoolboy stuff.

I did an article for the TTC website linkGood article that Graeme, bit gutted i couldn't get over on Sunday but hopefully they will do another one, in summer time. Got 2 very young girls who i would like to get into watching, and who knows even playing for Town one day. Not sure i would want to take them to see the men at the moment but think they would enjoy watching the women. Really enjoyed the Women's World Cup last year and that's why i take a greater interest in the Town Women this season. One note from your article, it was Lucy Sowerby (top scorer this season with 17 goals) who scored and not Laura Elford. You are getting your red heads mixed up there  Also Kate Mallin played her 458'th game for Town on Sunday, that's ridiculous, especially when the Women don't play 50 plus games a season like the men do (well like the men used to do when they could win a cup game or two) |
