......As I think he will be this weekend. Is there any danger of us, the fans, actually getting behind him, the team, the chairman and the whole bloody club? I, for one, am finding the constant digs at the club, especially at the chairman and those working to turn this around rather tiring, extremely ill informed, rather pointless and simply adding to the problems at the club. I’ve every faith that the appointment will be a good one and welcomed by the vast majority so FFS, lets use this news to get behind HTAFC from top to bottom and play our part in taking this club forward again. Enjoy your weekends all.....

I’m trying not to be too negative, but you’re assuming that the “chairman and those working to turn this around” are actually doing this, rather than perpetuating our decline with more poor decisions; I hope you’re right though.

Do you think he isn’t trying to turn it around? that’s quite a claim, what’s the reason?

Have you been to a game? The fans have been absolutely superb in the last 12 months despite the dross that’s been served up.A team not fit enough to play 90 minutes and haven’t won a game in months! If people want to have a dig on a forum rather than at the ground then fair enough imo. They were happy to take the plaudits when doing well, they’ll have to accept some criticism when they aren’t.

I expect they making every decision with the interests and future of the club in mind. Nothing less. Will they get every decision right? Maybe not, but I’m finding it difficult reading the constant and very personal abuse etc and can’t see that this helps in any way.

Do you think he isn’t trying to turn it around? that’s quite a claim, what’s the reason? Imagine a club which was in the Premier League merely four months ago (the premier league, which the whole planet watches).... It’s new boss then asset strips the team and doesn’t re-invest... Then if he were to appoint a third division manager, or one from a small and mediocre hoofball club tucked away in an insignificant corner of London, or a failed one that’s just escaped collapse... Any objective person would surely question the intentions and competence of the new boss and management team of the club that was in the Premier League just 120 days ago.

Yes, I get to most of the games but missed Cardiff this season and agree, at the games, the core fans are awesome. What I’m getting at is the constant snipes from keyboard warriors at every move of the club. These same ‘fans’ will likely whinge about any new appointment should we lose the first game and be back to chairman out / sack the board etc etc...... Criticism, absolutely, but not the above. That’s simply destructive.

I think some town fans are getting a little tired of this 'get behind the club' stuff now. Look at our record over the past year and a half and it's amazing that we still have the fans that we have. There are much better things to do with your time than watch town inevitably lose you know.
It's up to town. Get in the right man to do a job and the fans will support him. It's not the town fans fault that the club has literally hit the self destruct button.

Your constant negativity and sniping already have you marked out, especially with your oh so subtle name change. Not bad going for a relatively new poster. Did you only register so that you could have a go? And as for asset-stripping, please tell me ANY club relegated from ANY league which isn't forced to sell its better players. I bet you're really disappointed that we still have Schindler, Grant and Kongolo, otherwise you'd really be able to fill your boots.

The abuse is unwarranted, however, the frustration of very patient and dedicated fans is not unwarranted. The new boss might learn from his friends here, and improve the appalling decisions that have caused this club to plummet, rather than continuing or even worsening the situation. The fans have been happy clappers for a very long time, come hell or high water, but Phil will lose them totally if he takes on Harris for example.

Especially when you read in the sun today...
We had 97 million last season in sky tv cash Even above Bayern who got 87.6 million Juventus only got 76.5 million
And look at the mess now.

Sadly it's gonna be the same tedious winging whoever we get. Honestly don't know why people bother if it makes them so unhappy. I get it's been crap recently but people revel in slagging the club off even when it's not justified. It's people like that who are pushing me away from going if anything.

I’ll be honest I’ve done my fair share of whinging on here just lately due the the abysmal run we’ve been on.At games I try and support like most do but you must admit it’s getting difficult to do that theses days.Even getting myself motivated to go is becoming harder for me. The new manager won’t please everyone that’s just the way it goes.At the moment I’m not bothered who we appoint,Harris,Cowley,Adkins, even Wenger! I’m just becoming less interested with it even though I’ve got a season ticket and live 5 miles from the ground. The chairman getting stick is unfortunately part of the job and even though he’s inherited a bit of mess I’m pretty sure he’s dealt with similar in his business life.

No, I switched my name for a few days because I was getting increasingly hacked off with the lack of an appointment for such an extended time, and with Mooy keeping busy with a pair of tweezers removing the Brighton’s bench splinters from his arse rather than being the maestro of our team. Your comment about our remaining star players is stupid to say the least. We’re in real danger of doing a Sunderland or worse. I say this as someone who’s been going to Town games for 50 years through thick and thin and I don’t need your sarky and rose tinted remarks. Now bore off yourself.

Which i guess, it what I’m saying... that FFS, when the new man is in, let’s get behind him and let him turn things around. Not turn / remain toxic should the first couple of games not go our way.
Fans are assisting in pressing the self destruct button!

Yes, I have over 50 years service too, but your accusations and complaining are going way over the top. Last time we appointed it happened in a flash - and it was the wrong one. Was that what you wanted again? This time the club/chairman goes about it at a more leisurely pace in order to make the right decision, doing his due diligence, and the forum/fans erupt. Damned if you do, damned if you don't it would seem...

I know we have had a long torrid losing spell, but some folk on here need to take a chill pill. Things have been going wrong since the middle of our first season in the Premier League. To pile the blame on a guy who took over just a few weeks ago is ridiculous. Give him a bloody chance.
