Happy with the tie. But getting s ticket will be impossible. Wish we could go back to first come first served queuing out side the ticket office. My job unables me to sort tickets etc until after working hours. Would it make any difference then. As the ticket office will be shut after working hours? You’d be last in queue and it would also be shut

So if Tamworth were to knock Town out of the cup would that take the number of non league teams to do so up to three?......I seem to remember Colchester Utd & Accrington Stanley as the two who have, anymore? Did Yeovil beat us in the late 50s? Or is it just my imagination

First game was 2003 in Yeovil which it looks like Yeovil won 2-1 on 21st October... ☹️ Last game was 2014 in Yeovil which it looks like Town won 2-1 on 21st April... 😊 HTAFC games won = 11... HTAFC games lost = 5... Drawn games = 2... Biggest Win = Huddersfield Town 5 v Yeovil Town 1 on 29th December 2013 ! 👍

Many a time I was able to go down at 7am, wait in a queue for an hour and be able to get a ticket. Alternatively, my grandad would go down and queue to get them if I was unable to. With all the online stuff now, he hasn't a clue how to do it.

One of the Arsenal cup ties in the 80s or 90s immediately springs to mind.

As much as I understand it is difficult for some people to access tickets online, surely it’s a huge benefit that we have now evolved from standing piss wet through, queuing outside a football ticket office in the hope of getting a ticket to be able to just spend 30 seconds clicking at a phone? It’s like wanting to bring back open terraces with no roof, it doesn’t make sense.

Biggest Win = Huddersfield Town 5 v Yeovil Town 1 on 29th December 2013 ! 👍 No, Yeovil were famous giant killers but Town were not one of them they killed, I had a look at that period to check if it was another team. After the war we had up & down cup exploits beating the holders (ie Wolves-under DL floodlights) or losing narrowly to the eventual winners on route (ie Blackpool-Matthews final year). Also a run of embarrassing results against lower league teams who knocked us out of the cup (ie Newport Co, Barnsley, Tranmere-twice). When we dropped down to the 3rd tier (74') & entered the 1st round we drew non league Wigan Athletic, I stood in the open end with the Latics fans to watch Town win 2-0........Little did those away fans know what an astonishing football future lay ahead for them & how much more shit ours would get. nb; Top two league tiers started entering the FAC draw at round 3 stage way back in 1925.

Oh god yeah, prefer it now obviously but I think they should have the option for old dodderers (no offence rockwall ) who want to queue and/or don't like the tech side of things. Maybe they do still open early for stuff like that, we just haven't noticed because we're sat in front of a computer or phone

Can see both sides of the coin on this one. Obviously like most, I use online ticketing but thinking back, the huge queues formed outside for tickets for a big cup tie was all part of the anticipation of the FA Cup.

Terrestrial TV has done a good job in promoting the earlier rounds of the competition but after the 3rd round the competition can get lost behind the Premier League and Champions League.
The journey to the 3rd round is an adventure for many clubs, after that it becomes just another game (irrespective of if they progress further and make some cash).
I'm looking forward to the 1st round, which maybe one of the most foolish things I have ever posted!

Just as the smell of cigars and cigs hit you as you peaked the top step and then step in to the old terrace. But again it’s a change for the better.

Personally, I just feel the release times are difficult for a lot of people, especially when it will be a low allocation.

Northampton v Kettering too. Local derby down there. Unlikely with Northampton being the home team. If it was the other way around then it's 100% getting picked. I had a feeling that Northampton game would be picked. It's so close to Kettering

As I suspected, us, Brum & Wrexham all on the telly box Whilst it probably isn’t exactly ideal for travelling HTAFC fans this is perfect for ma 🥃 boozy 🍺 weekend in Inverness... Arrive in The Highland Capital at 4.40pm, check in to digs, out for a munchi, then - Bedecked in Town attire - find a pub that has it on on ‘Council Telly’ (BBC 2) and hopefully see HTAFC progress, then celebrate in pubs with live music and finish off in Johnny Foxes until 3am... 😊 Oh if Carlsberg did Friday’s - (But only if we win) ! 😉

It's so close to Kettering I know it's lost some of the novelty now but the beeb love a good story and MK vs Wimbledon has that. Bristol vs WSM must have come under strong consideration too. Can see why Wrexham got picked but it's a bit meh with it not being non league opposition. I would more likely tune into the above two. Ultimately the draw threw up lots of good picks for tv.

Every game they pick has to be a potential sellout so compensation does not apply, you could possibly see ten tie's that would be sold out without the cameras present, whether Harrogate v Wrexham does?.........Surprised they moved Birmingham game to Sunday with Villa also in the capital at Spurs same day (ko 2pm).
