You are speculating there and you aren't factoring in the debts that have already been paid. As you said, it's all speculation. However the debts have only 'been paid' if Huddersfield Town no longer owe anybody the money. The original post that sparked this was based on a rumour that PH had paid off the debt to DH. If the debts are either written off or now owed to PH (or anyone else) with no interest and no repayment date, then that is an improvement. However, if the debts are still there with the same, or worse terms (such as interest rate, or repayment schedule), then we are no better off and potentially much worse off. Maybe Dean said if you pay me back now in full I'll knock a tenner off

I believe the next installment of the parachute money (approx £32m) is due August, and there's one more next August, 2022 (approx £14m). However we borrowed in advance before the 1st installement (approx £43m) was due in August 2020 so we could pay our bills before the end of the relegation season 19/20. I dont't know if we did the same the year after but Dean was due £25m this year, then £10m next and £10m deferred..So I reckon Dean is owed £45m and we 'possibly' have £46m left in parachute money (assuming we didn't take installment two early)..
At a pinch Phil might have had to borrow £13m to add to the parachute money of £32m to pay Dean his £45m. Then next year we have another £14m to come from the final payment, so theoretically Phil could pay himself off and clear the debt..next August. Whether he will do that, or whether he choses to extend the debt further and use the cash to squad build, I don't know. he could do that this summer if he wanted.
we must have some cash in hand from ransfer revenues too, but my guess is Phil will be cautious and try and keep some monies for future seasons to keep the club afloat.

This obviously ain't going to happen, but if it did...would it be a success?
What if Hudds Town just 'gave up', ceased to exist...and instead, Phil H pumped it into the Hudds Ladies?
Give them the facilities and backing to be allowed to get promoted and promoted again, become a driving force in women's football. What would happen..would it make a difference? Has anyone really pumped a load into a ladies team yet or are they still run in a similar fashion to a local youth football club?
I'd get behind the ladies if they were the only pro's playing the game locally. Would other fans come along for the ride?

I’m pretty sure Man City have pumped a lot of money into their ladies team who are now up at the top of their league, no idea if it’s in proportion to the funding of the men’s team or not, Chelsea also fund their ladies team, for whatever reason Man United didn’t, the team folded and then recently got revived. Still I’m of an age to remember Doncaster Belles being the top team for a long time and they never had two h’pennies to rub together, they still don’t but are now down with the also rans.

What is wrong is that there is massive push from the media to big up women's football to be something that it isn't. The standard is terrible. If people are happy to watch it then I assume they would also be happy to watch Golcar v Emley on BT sport? (Probabaly harsh on those two teams as I bet it would be a better game to watch than Man City v Chelsea ladies) This is the pinnacle of the game so i dread to think what it is like as you work down the women's football pyramid:

It will probably be part financed by that but bearing in mind how many players we have sold and how much parachute money we have had, he must have been near to being paid off anyway maybe he gave Dean some shares in Pure legal ? That wouldn't cost anything in cash terms ?

Was it Chris Brass at York who scored the worst own goal ever, that we’ve all seen.

Exactly I mentioned the Danny Baker videos, could have just as well pointed out that someone produced highlights of Diakhaby, Bacuna and Mbenza that persuaded HTFC to part with £20M for their signatures. Who says the camera never lies ?

No, it is a bit like the media suddenly trying to push banger racing and sticking it on loads of channels and towards the top of news wesbites while also trying to claim that they deserve the same pay as F1 drivers.

Instantly brought this video to mind That was only up to January, they’d easily get 5 minutes worth if they added the goals from February to now.

Another top womens side lost 7-0 in similar circumstances. Womens football is horrendous.

Some archaic attitudes on here. Of course women’s football is not as good as men’s - they’ve been largely excluded from it since before the League was formed in . Do I watch it - not really but it’s on the channels cos it’s cheap. You don’t have to watch it - no one’s forcing you. And yeah, easy enough to find embarrassing ‘fails’ video but some decent stuff out there too.

There's just something about women playing football that doesn't look right to the eye. Almost as if their legs are not quite in sync with their brains. It's a bit like watching men try to play with their weaker foot.
It is strange because you can watch women's tennis or golf for example and a lot of the time they look more elegant and technically skilled than the men and are no less entertaining to watch.

Its ok flag poling the poor female performances but also Sutton United beat Leeds, Hereford beat Newcastle, Exeter drew in front of a 67,000 gate at Man Utd. Here's a video highlighting the skills of the very best male footballers in the world...it works both ways.

So yesterday I heard the interview from Phil and I was pleasantly excited for the future
HOWEVER ...... Just been speaking to a former staff member who has now joined another championship academy. He says "the club is skint mate! there is absolutely no money at all. Staff have had to take massive deductions and the staff what were part time have now been made into voluntary positions. Not even expenses are covered for scouts anymore.
On CC he says he spends hours on the training ground everyday and he is a really good coach but he does tend to over complicate things and the players sometimes don't know what to do with the ball and in transition periods.
The signings we have made are all back up players and not very good ones at that. You will not be impressed with them at all. The recruitment team are always laughing and joking because they are always on a shoestring budget. A few more staff members are also looking at moving on. Bacuna and Mbenza have been told to stay fit during the summer holidays so they can flog them both to plug some gaps.
Everyone known about Pearson and Rhodes for awhile but The worst part is they are the good ones we've signed" 🙈 I tried pushing him for some names but he said he can't, God knows why.
This is what he told me
Season card on hold for me at the moment.
Believe it or not i don't really care I just wanted to share what ive been told this morning.
Either way I'll reserve my judgment until I see the signings
