It's absolutely atrocious. The occasional bad performance is fair enough but thats 2 of the worst home performances I've ever seen in the last 3 weeks. No motivation, no plan, no desire and no ideas. Even if we somehow stay up. What do we have to look forward to if the manager can't come up with a plan to score a goal (have a shot on target?) against the worse defence in the league? We don't deserve to stay up and I won't be be feeling hard done by if they don't. Boro, Wigan, Stoke and now Luton have come to the JSS and absolutely bossed us. It one thing to be beaten by the better team it's another to not even try. Unacceptable.

It nearly worked, but its pissed me off for weeks and now we are going down a yeay

I'm very, very close to the point of wanting them gone. If they have any intention of trying a similar "plan" (if you can even call it that) in any of our last 3 games, they should walk away now. What happened against Luton and Wigan has no place in football.
What I don't get is, away to Birmingham and Reading, we had a go, we tried not to amble all over the pitch, we tried to, you know, make a conscious effort to do something entertaining, try to score, try to shoot, try to win. And what did it get us? 3 goals, 4 points and 2 clean sheets. The concept of not trying to play out the most disgraceful 0-0 draw in history is clearly not alien to them!
Against Wigan and Luton, we do the exact opposite, and guess fucking what, we get the opposite results! 0 goals, 0 points, 0 shots, 0 effort. If we're going to go down, at least have a fucking go against the Wendies, West Brom and Millwall. But for fuck's sake, don't take us down trying to 0-0 our way to safety.
The decision as to whether or not I ask for my 2020/21 renewal to be cancelled rests on the final 3 games. If we do what we did against Wigan and Luton, they can give me my £249 back. If we do what we did against Birmingham and Reading, they can keep it.

That’s what I don’t understand to be honest. Why not chuck Mounie and Grant up there and go more direct? Smith-Rowe coming in off the left and some width on the right. Grant is a million miles off the pace on the wing. But the lack of heart from the players is truly alarming.

End of the season they should be gone.
They have lower league tactics which dont6 work in the championship. From the 1st comment where they wanted to flood the box because most goals are scored there, they completely underestimed the quality in the championship where players regularly score from outside of the box.
We don't have a plan. Our most clinical finisher has to play on the left because we are always playing back to goal. We never get in behind.
If Mounie doesn't play we are stuck. If he isn't great we are stuck. Our tactic seems to be pass it about a bit then twat it forwards and hope for the best.
We might not have a top 6 squad, but we don't have a bottom 6 squad.
It might work in league 2. It doesn't work here.

No point firing them for me it’s the players who need to go unfortunately we’re stuck with most of them.We got to hope that there are clubs out as stupid as us who want to sign them honestly it would be worth just paying their contracts off and promoting the U18 squad, this lot will relegate us from L1 whoever the manager is.

So we don't deserve to stay up!!!! But I guess Luton do (who lost 5.0 at home to Reading), Barnsley do (who lost 4.0 at Stoke), Hull do (who have won 1 game since Christmas) etc, etc. FFS we need to get behind the Manager and players and not "give up" like people are saying the players are. I will follow the team to the end of the season, I believe we will stay up, but if a lot of you won't get behind the Manager & Team for the last 3 games then, I guess, I cannot make you.

Sacked? No. Diabolical today agreed, no excuses
Cowleys league record
P36 W12 D10 L14
1.278 pts / game
That would have us 13th - do you seriously think this squad is better than 13th?

If they were to be sacked Dudson would oversee the final three games and we would be well and truly fucked.

I'll give them a let on the basis that they have probably done a better job than we realised to get us to a position where we could potentially to survive this season. However, that said the games since restart have been largely very poor and certainly didn't carry on from the bits if better form we showed before lockdown.
The club is an utter shambles. Get rid of the Cowleys and would you actually trust anyone in charge to make a decent appointment? I'm not sure I would.

Do you think it's acceptable, in 3 successive home games, when we're in a relegation scrap, to set up for a 0-0 draw and not create a single meaningful chance, and from those 3 games to take 1 point and score 0 goals?

Buts it’s the manner of losing (and some of those wins) where we’ve been woeful. The haven’t given the team any identity. You have to create that in and around the players you have if you can’t bring in the right ones. We have no quality wide men so don’t insist on a formation that relies heavily on them. We have 4 defensive midfielders. Game plan and motivation are the 2 things you have to bring as a manager and they’re not bringing either. Hudson brings nothing to the equation either. I’m loathed to say get rid especially with only a few games left but desperate measures now I’m afraid. We’ve been infamously sleepwalking for way to long now. It was obvious after 10 minutes those tactics weren’t going to break Luton down and all D.C. could do was change like for like.

Not at all. We were hopeless today and against Wigan. Believe me I’m furious! Preston a different matter imo They took over a team with 1 win in 30+ games, 9 months or whatever it was and 1 point in 7 was it this season Today was awful not getting away from that at all - but it’s easy to sit here and type Cowley out etc! But If you’d told me after 1 win in 9 months we’d be the 13th best team from Mid September to the end of the season I’d have taken it

The fact is that on a regular basis since Christmas, we've played the teams in and around us and looked like a doomed team. Boro away, shite. Barnsley away, shite. Stoke at home, shite. Wigan at home, shite. Luton at home, shite. If we want to stay up, we have to turn up and put in the kind of performance you would expect of professional footballers. It's ingrained in us to turn up to the really important games and bollocks it up in the grandest style possible.

The Premier League has a lot to answer for. It brought great joy at times but the subsequent aftershock is toxic and happens at most clubs who go down, left with a set of thieving clowns who have no idea what it means to wear our shirt and are more interested in how many Instagram followers they have. The parachute payment issue is just a veil, some people think it leads to stability, possible financial strength. It just pays the extortionate wages of the wasters we have to watch every week. The players should be ashamed tonight. They won’t be.

Not seen the game as been out for a meal but just listened to an absolute load of psycho babble guff from DC on the way home. Clearly not a good night for anyone by the sounds of it, but stop insulting us with low blocks, second phases, clean headers etc ....its utter bollocks and needs calling out now. We dont do basic things v well like mark at set pieces - thats why we are on our way to league one unless thjngs change damn quick.

For every Sunderland and Wolves there’s loads of Cardiff/Fulham/Norwich. We essentially don’t have parachute payments.

Definitely the potential for aftershock etc... most players signed in the premier league quite simply think they are too good to play in the championship and it goes downhill from there. That is however when a club has to have a clear plan and strategy, unfortunately we have failed on so many fronts. Let's remember we had two seasons in the premier league and as such should not be going straight through the division. Not sure our parachute payments are being used to pay too many extortionate wages... mainly those we couldn't shift as they were too shit to be sold.
