Last chance for me tonight.. Win and we’ll be safe.. Lose.. We’re foooked.. Simple as.. 🤞 Not quite that simple, we need 3 or 4 points from 3 games. Losing tonight will hurt us, but we will still be in the fight. You never know, there are other shit teams around us. I'm not giving up yet. Yes but wba have to win to clinch promotion.. And we always lose at millwall.. So last chance saloon tonight..

Town will win this. We will stay up as a result. We’ll buy a team full of lower league hackers over the summer ‘Cowley’s kind of players’ and be even more attritional, dull and clueless next season. There are no horizons. Cowley's type of player, dull and clueless? Im not sure if ESR, Toffolo, willock count as dull. The latter may be clueless though.

Dangerous crosses finding players in the box & hitting the target. It's not fucking hard is it? Putting the ball into the box would be a start, dangerous or not, enough players in there or not.. If you look back through our recent games, we got a few corners from relatively poor crosses, if we didnt put the ball in we overplayed backwards and sideways and got precisely nothing... Need to play more percentage balls rather than keeping it till we lose it? Thing is with this we had a leader of men don't now too soft

Come on Town scrape a win from somewhere tonight. Then we can concentrate on shipping all this selfish overrated shit out. And replace them with whom exactly? Serious question, where do you think we would find players as good as we already have. Bar Toffs everyone of them has Premier League experience. We need to survive, regroup and reintroduce confidence. Not lambast every individual because our selfish fanbase has become so pampered it cannot stomach any type of defeat. There is way too much instant gratification demands. Knee jerk reactions of sacking managers and players will achieve nothing except a future back to League 1/2 ping pong.

The sum of the parts is the strength of the team, not an analysis of each individual. Town fans have always and I mean always found the weakest individual in any team you can think of going back decades so that they have a target to vent their spleen if we lose just one match. It wasn't so bad before social media, now its just a perpetual bloodbath - and I find it tedious and boring. The individuals may not look "any good" in the current team organization - but they are good players. We need to take those players and form them into a team. the team that Wagner won promotion with is nearly to a man the same team that fought of relegation the year before. I say we keep the current squad and give the Cowleys a full season to work their thing. No doubt they will swap some individuals out, and the Covid thing isn't going to help. Sadly though, I feel the baying hounds have the scent of blood and will scream and scream. And then scream and scream again when we don't get promoted straight back (if we go down) (which we won't). There's been four different managers and none of them have been able to get a tune out of these players, I'm yet to see any proof that they are "good players".

You're both right and you're both wrong. We have some absolute dross here and we need a revolving door this summer. We also have some pretty reasonable players who haven't benefited from being in the right system.
Let's face it, if we could all change one thing from the last two seasons, what would it be? Change of manager / formation / tactics? For me, it's easy, if we had 2 simple prem quality wingers everything else would have been fine... We'd have had less pressure on the defence and we'd have got the best out of Mounie and Depoitre.

It feels unlikely, but by my reckoning if we could steal a win tonight and Wigan and Luton lost and Barnsley fail to win then we'd effectively be safe. Problem is I can't see us scoring.

Great skill not required, just graft and having more than one available pass...

I know this has its own thread but thought this one would get more views and hopefully a response to put my mind at ease as I’m not the best with technology and signing up to things.
I’ve just purchased my first match pass to watch tonight’s game and recieved an email from eflsupport conforming my purchase. Is the order ID the ‘code’ or should I receive something else?
I’m signed up to Htafc and have also just downloaded the town square app, do I need to do anything else?

It is totally different to Town Square, different log in details. You watch the game through ifollow, not Town Square. Some posters were/are putting in their Town Square log in details and wondering why it isn’t working. The same reason you can’t log in to EBay using your NatWest login details.

Last 100 league matches....just 18 wins....only two of them against top half teams. Jesus. That is indeed a terrible record. I didn’t realise it was that bad. I don't think it will be. Beaten Notts (sic) Forest, Brentford & Bristol City this season off the top of my head. Could well be more over 100 games.

This thread is drifting into managerial capabilities, but for my 2 penneth there are only ever 2 types of successful teams (or occasionally a combination of the 2).
Those who get lifted to success on the back of shitloads of cash thrown in by owners.
Those who earn success by making the players they have work differently.
I suspect most on here think the Cowleys fall into the latter category, but it's proving a struggle to motivate these lads just now, hopefully they'll make me eat those words about 9.30 tonight...
The only recent Mgr Town have had who fell into the first category was Steve Bruce.

Filled all the data in and pressed register, then got a pop up saying the email is unavailable, please choose another email or sign in. Could I have inadvertently signed up somehow? When clicking on ifollow it says ‘sheff wed match already purchased’

If all the games kicked off at 6pm then they lose viewers for the 6pm Sky game.
