Specialist training... was training for all those wanting to leave or ones we want out. Let's see how many in that group are still here come the end of the transfer window. Who was in that group?

The player that we signed is shit. Disaster! Whoever is responsible for scouting him should be sacked. Why did we waste all that money? They've had our pants down with that purchase.
What! We are selling him?
Disaster! Whoever is responsible for negotiating the sale should be sacked. We'll really struggle without him. They've had our pants down on that sale.

What’s he good at? Awful first touch. Bad passer. Gets beaten in the air a hell of a lot to say he’s 6ft3. Poor goal scoring record. Slow. Mounie barely loses the ball. When he does it is because he has held it up for that long and no1 has supported him. His goal scoring record since playing for town isn't that bad either if you consider minutes and also how crap we were. Poor in the air? Are you sure you know who mounie is? Wins most headers, unfortunately no1 around him to follow that up. Barely loses the ball? Holds it up? Thats not the player Ive watched. Touch of a sunday league player. Win headers? Yeah. Flick ons mainly on the half way line, but winning headers is his thing. You expect a lot more than that for what we paid for him ( and are paying him ) In the area you have to combine that with movement and desire and thats where he falls down. Hes lazy and uncommitted. I wont be sorry to see the back of him particularly if we can get some of our outlay back..

Is Duhaney going on loan somewhere, or leaving? The website had been updated to players in the new kit and him, Flo and Ramadan are the only ones not wearing it.

So 100 pages (that I’m contributing too) and we’ve signed an ex player and loaned a keeper who has already been murdered before being thrown under the literary bus 🤦♂️ We used to have one of those come round our way, but we called it a mobile library.

The way certain people on this thread have reacted to someone else who has a different opinion to them is absolutely astonishing.
Shame.

Mouinie has a better gorals to minutes ration than Karlan Grant last season, and contributed more defensively too. Heaven forfend we ever set the team up to actually play to his obvious strengths and give him some quality service, he could be a 20 goal a season striker in this division.
One day we'll start measuring players achievements against their own abilities, the ones they were signed for. Was Mouinie signed to run around chasing lost causes and hold the ball up in a defensive minded side? Nope. He was signed to convert chances created by wingers, wingers we now don't play with, He's shown a willingness to adapt his game to play in a way that goes against his natural abilities and instincts. When Nahki Wells did this he was praised.

When Nahki Wells did this he was praised. All well and good if on the (albeit few) occasions we did get crosses in to the box he was breaking his neck to get across his marker and win the header. Too often he’d be flat footed or position himself behind a defender. I personally don’t think his build up play, passing or even pressing/work rate are to standard. The amount of 5-10 yard passes he’d give straight to the opposition was crazy. I was at Palace, I genuinely thought we’d found a gem. That header for his first was sublime. Perhaps it’s confidence or the system but I’ve not seen that player for too long. If we could get a decent fee I’d sell. If we could locate the Palace Mounié then I’d agree we’d have a 20 goal striker.

So potentially Sobhi, Grant, Mounie and Flo could all be gone in the next week. Could be looking around 25m and significant wages off the books. Contrary to what others believe I think we will see some significant investment and rebuilding with that money. I'd argue we have already replaced Mounies goals with Ward. Hopefully there's some Spanish and lower league gems up the sleeve. Exciting times.

I really hope you are right, considering the absolute s*** show Hoyle left him with I am willing to give PH the benefit of the doubt until the end of this window. However if we sell the above and get something near 25 in if we don't spend 5-10 mill on significantly improving the squad he really is as potless as many say. Its a massive window this for us, it was great to see the kids play well the other day but Donny thumped that same Man U Under 23 team 5-0 so lets not be overly reliant on them and use them as an excuse. This right back looks a good start, but signing goals is going to be so important. I hope Carlos is given the chance to raid Spain again and bring them in as I cant see us getting value for money over here.

Can't remember who said it though.

We as a club were walking on air at the time and Palace were an absolute shit show for 10 games and probably the equivalent standard of half of the Ligue 1 table. A few goals after that against struggling sides and a worldy last year against Blackburn where the reaction on his face said everything. "where the fook did I pull that from" I almost feel sorry for him at times because he does look out of his depth and does have that look of a Sunday League player, very much like Joelinton. Both couldn't trap a bag of cement

with respect i doubt that very much just a opinion If Maynard said it, its probably true. Is this to ensure the payments to Dean are met first by player sales? Seems a bit of a strange agreement as we can pay off some of the loan and then invest the rest in the playing squad. Then next season, we will probably sell players again and pay off the remaining loan. This would mean we aren't restricted in the transfer market with a threadbare squad.
