Totally agree The holier than thou brigade need to realise that if we want to succeed then we need to stop being so soft. Anyway he wouldn't be the first ex southampton player we jave signed that has kicked someone in the head. Who was the last?? If Town fans don’t want a player based on what he did against us 3 years ago then I despair. Despair then. I had hoped to avoid the sniping that has beset this thread and devalued the level of debate on this board. My position is now clear and firmly based. I remain unabashed, and won't enter into further dialogue on this matter.

I would spaff me kex if that came off but there is no chance. His wages would be ridiculous. Would be a great signing but you’re right, his wages would be crazy. 31 as well so I’m not sure he’s a typical CC signing. It wouldnt be Corberans decision.

Disagree there will be delineation by age, but more mature fans tend to be more ready to follow the team and let the club be run be it’s owner and mangers with only the occasional issue when things are clearly problemativ And your view has nothing to do with being a more 'mature' fan? Clearly it's hard to know anyone's age on here, but from my interpretations the more mature end moan just as much as the young uns. For the record I'm somewhere in the middle. Wasn’t clear the older end don’t come on here😇

Hes probably better than Grant but i think hes unlikely to come to us - As for his morals im not that bothered IF hes scoring goals for Huddersfield Town. Hes hardly the Taliban. As Sir Alf once said.."we want goals" dont think we can argue with that. No way is he better than Grant! As if. One is going for £18M, one isn’t. He’s a nasty piece of work. Deliberately left his foot in. Lossl was lucky not to lose an eye.

Your whiteheads, your Damian Johnson’s, Heffs, Lowe, Brown, Vlp etc. Players who love to play and wanna be part of a good team ethic. Value based recruitment is increasingly popular nowadays. It’s not just about capability.

I want to take the moral high ground and avoid piece of shit that is Charlie Austin. Come on,Town fans, you're better than accepting goals in return for evil. Those of us who saw the Lossl incident will also recall him making unsolicited gestures to us Town fans. I am the first to promote Saints and former Saints to come to Town. This is a notable exception. im sure he isnt the first player to makeunsolicited gestures to town fans are any other fans!way things are its getting more unlikly grant will be going to wba .

I saw the bad challenge on Lössl, but true to DATM form people are in danger of making him out to be a Fred West or Pol Pot. He has been sent off once in his career (two yellows after having scored). Should have been twice at least, but we bemoan the fact that we don't have players who are masters in the dark arts. Our squad for the last two years season has been a mix of the crude (e.g. Bacuna) and the gentlemanly. Can't believe the wages would work for a second anyway.

Fuck me a lot of you moaning about what Austin did to Lossl. Get over it.
Yet you all wanted hammill back after he assaulted a paramedic.
At least Austin is a class striker who would score goals.

we've seen a good number of nasty bastards in opposing teams kicking or thumping lumps out of our lads, Norwich being the latest with the elbow into Stearman's face...about time we had one of our own..we've been too soft..Austin will rattle defenders and make space for others..just what we need for a couple of seasons while we settle our squad and bring through the B team lads...

Lets be honest we need to just let Grant go now so we can invest the money on his replacement and actually improve the side, the hard ball is boring they either need to take it or leave it. If we end up selling him like a week before the deadline with no time to replace there will be absolute carnage and although I have stuck up for him PH would deserve every criticism he gets.

If we mess about for too long and WBA decide to go in for someone else we are in deep trouble! I'd take the current offer and use it to get a few players in pronto.

When the Grant domino falls and we have a flood of incoming players, please let none of them be Pilkington, VLP, Austin or any of that ilk.
We're meant to be in a brave new era, not trawling for journeymen that may be 'a bit better than what we've got'.
