Just had a look on the BBC transfer site. It may not have been updated yet but apparently there hasn’t been a single transfer completed yet throughout the PL and EFL and Scotland.

We should give WBA a deadline. Tell the brummie barstewards that they sign Grant by said date or fuck off. They've got literally millions of pounds to play with, whereas we could well be risking our Championship status waiting and waiting for them to wrap this up. Who'd have thought this would be possible just two years ago. Maybe not this bad but football is a game of quick turn arounds, if clubs arnt looked after properly it's to easy to go into freefall. Hoyles wiped his hands of it and allowed it to happen. Two years back I certainly thought we would be a strong side in the championship when relegation came though. When it now looks like we are going to be another Bolton, Blackpool etc sinking down the leagues and struggling financially. Big investors may of been interested especially after we stayed up first year but there isnt a cat in hells chance of that happening now. Good times will come again but it may be a while till we see them. |

Would love to have Rhodes back tbh. Dont buy all this "can't play the lone striker role" stuff. Feed that guy and he will score goals. I don't for a minute believe we will be in for Jordan but he scored 73 Town goals in 124 games, 83 in 159 for Blackburn but has only scored 24 goals in the last 4 years for 3 different clubs.... what makes you think he's the same player now & what makes you think he can play as a lone striker? Loved the guy to bits but not what we need now. |

Jordan Rhodes would pretty much be the opposite of what CC would be looking for in his striker. I think we can all sleep easy safe in the knowledge JR wont be coming back The main striker now will have to cover more yards than any striker we have had before. As much as Rhodes was lethal in front of goal, there were even debates back in the day if he had a respiratory problem(!), he appeared that slow and unfit at times. That was when up against League One plodders. He'd be good for cameos, but very much doubt he could make it as a regular starter in the style it seems like we intend to play. |

We fucked about with Kongolo potentially being sold last summer. That went well for us. Hope lessons have been learned from that. Shirt sponsor negotiations obviously went well also, I wonder how many back office salaries that would pay? Any other championship teams without a sponsor? Or any in the whole pyramid for that matter? It's not that simple though, if for example town value shits sponsorship at £500k but because of the situation companies are only offering £200k if we accept that then we devalue it for next season and the following season etc. Nobody will pay 500k next season for something we sold at 200k this season, a lot of clubs will be desperate to get any money in right now but we don't need to be due to having extra income. This will leave us in a stronger negotiating position next time round and won't hurt us that much financially this year. |

Pipa was in a sports bubble, testing regularly so circumnavigated that issue. |
