I’ve never been an admin of a forum so I wouldn’t know, but is it possible for them to move posts completely irrelevant to this thread to a different thread? No attack on them whatsoever, genuinely curious as I think this thread would whittle down to about 50 pages. Easiest answer would be for everyone to just, you know, post about transfers on the transfer thread. Suppose I need to include some sort of transfer topic on this post now, don’t I? Errrrrm.. Kongolo is off back to Fulham, apparently! 😂😂 I noticed he posted on Instagram story yesterday 'new season starts now'. Agree there’s lot of drivel and people pretending to be ITK but there are some nuggets in there too. The posts about cleaning products that led from rumours about signing the kid from Ajax were absolute gold. Highlight of the thread so far for me and that includes the signings of Sarr and Pipa (and Pereira)

I cannot believe we have not had any incoming forward options this week considering we: - don't have a striker - our expected goals is woeful - we have effectively placed our top striker on gardening leave - Danny Ward is injured - we create no chances in a game It's a shambles whilst I agree we need a striker... 1. We have 2 2. Yes, hard to score goals when we create 0 chances 3. Grant wouldn’t play as a striker regardless 4. So you admit we have a striker? 5. Agree, our priority 1 should be to sign a playmaker Cheers Phil for quick response 🤔 Who are these strikers we have. Do you mean Frazier Campbell and Danny Ward. If you do you should realise how important getting actual strikers and creatives in is. I am just surprised we have dragged out feet in this department when it has been evident for years we do not score and create enough goals.

They don't exactly need home advantage against the giants do they. Transfer rumour thread 👆🏻 Well done boys, this why there's so many pages of absolute drivel 👏🏻 It was originally about transfers. Noting why the club shop wasn't open, hoping signings were having a photo shoot but apparently it's closed cause rugby is being played today

Anyone else getting a squeaky bum about Grant still being in the building? No because if he can't find a move surely he will play until Jan which at Least gives us a goal threat of some kind!

I noticed he posted on Instagram story yesterday 'new season starts now'. Another one who's also removed anything town related from his Instagram too He posted one a couple of weeks back that showed him on the premises at Canalside. He's a popular guy with the rest of the squad, well respected.

If grant was so desperate to move he needs to put a transfer request in, town receive a fee without a pay off for grant , possibly smaller than required .

Its not about the size of the fee the problem is WBA are struggling to payout they have laid there budget out on others.

If that’s the case we move on , wba clearly would not be in a position to purchase grant.

Reece Brown, Sabiri, why did our transfer policy go so off kilter after the astute signings in our promotion season. We were spending money a few levels in the marketplace above what we had been. promotion season we were spending little on players desperate to prove something and who saw the championship as a shop window where they could impress and get to the big bucks. When we were in the prem we were spending fortunes signing players and giving them the big bucks. Players who IMO felt theyd already made it ( financially they had )

Its not going away WBA are trying too ship players out its never easy and we seem too wan't the deal done so we can move forward.

It sets our whole planning backward. Id say 90% chance he will sulk, his fee will Nosedive. Would be disastrous for all.parties imo

Carlos saying the idea was to have Ward and Campbell as our strikers Then we really are in a hole. No offence to either, but between them I think they’d bag 20 goals max (and I’m being optimistic). That’s not enough when the rest of the team don’t score. I’m giving the new coach the benefit of the doubt, but the people running the club? Nah, no way can they think that is a good idea.

Thats an absolute joke To have camble and ward as the strikers for this season tells us everything we need to know about big fat Phils ambitious plans.. They won't get 10 goals between them this season and apart from being crap.. They are both always injured.. Doomed to finish bottom.

Think his performances last season suggest he isn't the kind of player who will continue to give everything and play well whilst hes hoping/ expecting a move away. If anything he'll blame Town for stopping this WBA move happening and sulk/ lose form even more.

With all due respect to Campbell and Ward they will probably play the combined total of around 25 games this season, at best. We need to buy/loan 2 strikers. ASAP.
