We have enquired about izzy brown on loan with a view to a permanent. CC had him at Leeds 23s whilst recovering from the injuries. Only a enquiry as of yet. I can't see many on here being upset about that if it came to fruition, on 2nd thoughts...... I'd rather have Kasey tbh

Scored goals when given a chance.... virtually no quality into the box. Lumped up to him with 2 sometimes 3 big defenders around him isolated from rest of team.... we need to get someone near him firstly and then get some quality into the box. Well, none of that’s going to happen in the 433/4141 high-press system we’re clearly planning on playing. The 9 in that system needs to be ultra mobile and muscular with a great short passing/link-up game. Mounié will be gone or, at worst, a very expensive option C. I agree with others that none of this would be particularly fair on him, but short of completely changing his playing style overnight, I can’t see him playing a significant role next year. I agree with what you're saying about the pressing game and that Mounié isn't a fit. Thing is though when we were successful at it in this division under Wagner teams negated it by dropping off. We ended up knocking the ball around in the last third looking very one dimensional. We were crying out for a Mounié type player in January and hoped Collin was it.

Bacuna, one of the few players who when in possession on the edge of the opponents penalty box, with 3 players closing him down would turn, do a "rabona" pass to the far post for Grant to nod in from 6 yards out, to the huge delight of the crowd. Or against the same team when he's now in possession but on the edge of his own penalty box, hunted down by 3 opponents, try the same "rabona" pass to get out of trouble but gift their centre forward with a calamitous soft goal in doing so. Bags of talent and ability, can score as well but his temperament is so flaky it's untrue, would a Brian Clough have tolerated it, No, he might have changed him to fit in though, not sure a club like ours can afford the risk to reward he offers. Perhaps you are right. He has so much skill all he wants to do is show-off. Came on recently and did 3 drag backs within 3 minutes in dangerous areas. Cantonaesque as well when he is not on the ball.....OK as a number 9 or 10 but not when in midfield or full-back! otium on this I agree I would play him up the field as high as possible as you say no 10 for me but he is a bit of a maverick but it takes all different types to build a team

Wouldn’t rush to have Brown back based on injuries.
Palmer I thought had real class but he was temperamental. Not sure if that has changed in the last couple of years.

It’s true, but Mounié is on hefty wages for a third choice 9 at this level.

Martin Boyle from hibernian looks worth a look at. Direct quick winger who can beat a man

Neither of those is particularly exciting. Why would we want the lad from Leeds who hasn’t played a game? Just play Schofield if you are going down the cheap route

I like Brown but injury prone and also rumours he didn't like the hard graft Bielsa put in place. If so can't see Carlos being interested. Depends on the deal I guess but not exactly reliable.

We need better than a young kid or a third choice. Sent from my SM-A515F using proboards

Unexamined are reporting that Sobhi doesn't want to sign for Al-Ahly on a permanent transfer but doesn't want to come back to Town either.

Nixon does tend to be wide of the mark on stuff to do with us. The keepers rumoured would not make sense in the context of what people in the club have said about loans. If every club needs 3 keepers, ideally you want a clear first choice, a veteran, and a young understudy. Not a 2 young understudies on loan keeping our own one out of the team

From links on here Iverson's the 4th keeper and 27th player linked to us by Nixon and other on line Journo's!
It'll be interesting to see how many are right. On Iverson, just talked to a Rotherham fan that I know who hoped he'd be back there.

Don’t think another club will send us a keeper unless assured he will be playing. Two loan keepers doesn’t make any sense.

Alan Nixon is saying in today’s Sun, Town are trying to sign 2 Goalkeepers, Kamil Miazek from Leeds and Daniel Iverson from Leicester We have a good young keeper put him in. If we to look for a loan keeper then it needs to be one with experience who's sick of been on the bench. Although anything gotta be better than hamer, I'd even get mi gloves from loft if we struggling.

Surely we only want 1 out of the 2. I would take every Leeds youth link with a pinch of salt. I'm sure we will get 1 or 2 from there but I reckon we have been linked with 6 or 7 from their youth team. If they guess enough they will probably be right at some point. "Huddersfield want a keeper, who is Leeds u23 keeper? I'm sure he will be on the list so I will link him" Lazy journalism.
