It’s not an I told you so mate but it’s been coming for a while For what reasons? Too big for their boots? Style of play? Behind the scenes clashes? Out of depth? Something else? The cowleys only have themselves to blame. Also, pre WBA the vast majority on here wanted them gone, now they are gone the vast majority are fuming. One swallow doesn’t make a summer.

No - boring as hell at times They’re job was to keep us up - they did that That’s 39 chuffing swallows

Regarding potential signings I'm wondering if we can establish a coding system so that people can save time just post a number rather than typing the inevitable full sentence :
1= His wages will be too high 2= His legs have gone 3= His parent club would never loan him to us in our state 4= He'd never mover further north than midlands 5= Are you on drugs?
Feel free to chip in any others.

I’ll throw a name out there who wouldn’t be surprised to see return - Adam Clayton.
He set up his Academy with none other than Leigh Bromby and they’re very close friends. Added to that he’s a Free Agent this summer.
No inside information nor preference as to whether he returns or not but one of those where could see him being linked.

If the Leeds coach does come in I wouldn't be surprised to see Jack Clarke come in on loan next season.

Guardiola is supposed to be a big fan of Corberan. Maybe get a decent loan in to cushion the blow of losing ESR?

Kongolo linked with AZ Alkmaar. Not sure if a loan or permanent. West Brom are the ones interested in Grant. Can see him going there if they go up or not. If they stay down they will need to replace the good players that will surely leave.

Hopefully Izzy will be back, I hope so anyway He's been nothing but injury-prone since he left. Him and Palmer both. I wouldn't have either of them back - ever.

I suppose that we should be rooting for a Fulham promotion. Probably our best chance of getting something back on Kongolo. Kongolo is injured and has been back at Town for a few months

Kongolo is injured and has been back at Town for a few months But before his injury I understand that the plan was to make the move permanent at the end of the season. Resurrecting this deal would be good for us.

I understand that these Leeds youngsters may be decent. But if they were that good, why haven't they played for Leeds this season?
We are in the same division that they have just been in, so I'm of the opinion that if they are no good for Leeds first team squad, they aren't good enough for ours.
Some will probably shoot me down, but hey ho

Wonder how Sunderland are going to get on given they currently spend £30million+ on wages. Can’t see the cap happening. It would be more feasible to say 70% of turnover. I think any cap will be for new contracts, rather than existing contracts. However, I agree with you that it should relate to turnover rather than a fixed amount. I also don't think clubs should be allowed to borrow money to buy players either. Any transfers should have to be paid from within existing funds or be funded by a cash injection (not loan) from a shareholder. There is already a percentage of turnover cap in league 1 and 2 now I believe but just efl doesn’t seem to bother enforcing it
