I think hes pulled a master stroke here. Brought two nasty buggers in with a horrible style of football to keep us up and is now looking for a manager with proper football ethos to take us forward Would have been much cheaper to appoint Warnock till the end of the season than paying compo to Lincoln then the Cowley's. Any thoughts Greyhound Kev, don't think anyone saw this coming.

Like a good rumour and if the rumour becomes an official rumour, The Cowleys have been interviewed for the Bristol City jobs. Phil H decided not to butter up and offer more money but to finish them. Just a Rumour as yet mind!

Just a Rumour as yet mind! Would make no sense unless he's sacked them for breach of contract and can get away without forking out the rest of their wages.

Only 3 days ago loads of people were commenting on here wishing the cowleys and their awful football to be gone. It happens and everyone reacting like PH has shagged their mum! Can't run a club listening to a few keyboard warriors. I bet they had at least 80% approval rating, if not more. I'm sadder to see them go than when the decision was made to sack wagner. The emotional part of wagner going was what he had done, not what he was doing. The Cowleys were doing an amazing job under the circumstances. Anyway its not like they will be coming back. But the next bloke needs to have a wagneresq impact and stick with it.

Anyone who wanted to watch their style of football for another season is either mental or lying I’m assuming their remit was keep us up at all costs, not do your best to keep us up lads but just make sure you entertain the crowd along the way. They earned the right to build their own squad for next season. If it was still dire by November then fair enough. But I bet we’d have been mid table

Enough is enough The club is a shambles I get your frustration but I never understand the statement of ‘chairman out’. What then? Its not as if you just pick another off the shelf at the local.

How much he paid for the club then? Didn’t he just take over the club and agree to repay his mate £35m over a few years Lisa at Aldi could go that in between stacking shelves

For me this is the worse decision since we sold Marcus Stewart to Ipswich
PH needs to spell out what his vision is and why DC isn’t aligned to that - if it is that he rates the like of mbenza then I’m seriously thinking whether I can be bothered next season. I can’t express enough my dissatisfaction in some of the big money signings and the prospect of watching them going through the motions next year makes my stomach churn

Don’t mistaken a handful shouting loudest as being the opinion of most I make very clear I could not disagree with this decision more What is Hodgkinsons vision he’s given us nothing but bs since he turned up

If he didn’t pay anything for the club but agreed to repay his mate £35m over a few years anyone could be chairman/women is the answer

Danny and Nicky were very excited about the rebuild. Very. Im guessing that they have had a meeting with Phil and clearly they have a difference of opinion. THIS IS A MESS, WE HAVE SO MANY PLAYERS THAT GIVEN THE CURRENT FINANCIAL CLIMATE WE WILL STRUGGLE TO SHIFT...
Dean Hoyle has totally sold us down the river..... we are bolloxed because Phil doesn't have the financial back up that Dean had...
Fans need some transparency now.

Yesterday I posted that I felt we’d turned the corner My expectations for next year were low but I felt realistic. I thought we would be stable at least and would start the creation of foundations for a better future Now I have the prospect of watching a band of mercenaries who have failed two seasons running - show me their special “talents” again!

It's all a bit of a car crash. Then what do you expect from the owner of a claims management company.

I'd be fucking livid if I was PH and that's what has happened. As for any players currently contracted to Town, like Mbenza. No matter what their private opinions, any manager or chairman is always going to back the player. Financially he's an asset to the club and we have to write down his transfer fee over the length of his contract. We need to either sell or loan out the player and recoup all or most of the remaining transfer fee or get him performing on the pitch. If we had one shite player we could maybe afford to lose some money, but unfortunately we've got too many for that.

I mean it's no more of a shock than when we sacked Lee Clark it it? It sure is. While the outside world thought we were mad I’d say the vast majority of town fans understood that decision This one beggars belief. I really need PH to explain this properly before I lose my faith completely

Good job DH didn’t sack Wagner in dec 2016 when Aston Villa turned his head ... history would have been very different
