Cut price definitely. We should be straight in for Jamal Lowe and Sam Morsy I think morsy is going to end up at a lower premier League team

Problem for us is that following Wigan's great end to season football wise all their players will be on Championsip clubs radars. When it comes to transfer fees and wages we cant compete

We won’t be going for overpriced young British players. Yeah, we got some good young talent from the French leagues a few years ago, we should call up whoever we dealt with last time and see whether they’ve got any more tips. Honestly, I can still barely believe what we paid in fees and wages from that summer and what we got in return.

Every time I curse myself when I think of the money I've wasted on a sandwich toaster / exercise bike / juicer / fitness tracker watch, I console myself by saying at least it wasn't that transfer window.

I’d imagine Dean will get first dibs on any money coming in so I doubt the money we get for grant will be used for reinvestment, it’ll be going to Dean more than likely. I am sure there will be a formal agreement with DH with regard to repaying monies, how much, when etc, etc. If this means part of the sale of any player has to be used towards this payment then so be it. I really cannot get my head around nearly everytime finance crops up people appear to be "having a go at DH. He LENT the club money, we achieved success with it, there is now a plan to repay it, end of it as far as I am concerned. its a bit like lending a homeless person money

It is if you lent the homeless person a large chunk of your money with no expectation of ever seeing it again... but then the homeless person used that money to set themselves up and became a multi-millionaire.

How do you go from providing the data for probably the worst spell of recruitment for anyone in the football league to getting a promotion to Man City? Probably saved Phil from firing the bullet.

Wow. He got paid for scouting the absolute shite we've recruited over the past years? I've heard of stealing a living, that's holding a living hostage with a big fuck off shotgun.

When it comes to transfer fees and wages we cant compete Says who? 3 of the last 4 players we signed came off the back of EPL contracts, either because they were established at that level (Simpson and Campbell), or having recently had a promotion and associated contract bump such as Stearman. Throw in that we paid Lincoln an ~£1m compo fee and Cowleys wages were widely reported at between £25k and £30k per week - surely the only real evidence we have is that we are very much able to compete with other Championship clubs for players if we so desire?

Stop coming up with facts, it doesn't fit with those on with the 'potless phil' agenda.

And yet Man City felt the need to offer him a job 🤔 With his track record, the only way I can make sense of this is that they employed him knowing he'll bring in players of the cost and quality of Diakhaby and Mbenza which they'll have to write off for millions of pounds thereby meeting FFP regulations.

All joking aside a few years ago I read an article on how PL teams cast their nets far and wide looking for kids as young as 6 / 7 and basically they looked for speed merchants, they weren't interested if they had bags of ability on the ball or were mazy dribblers and the like, the logic being the club could coach the skill into them but couldn't make them fast.

I’m not too surprised there’s been no players signed yet, but I am surprised there’s been no announcements about Corberán’s coaching staff. I’m guessing it’s because Corberán may be on holiday?
