Absolutely this. Pisses me off that everyone seems to be giving Diakhaby, Mbenza & Pritchard the benefit of the doubt and “let Carlos improve them” yet when it comes to a player that has shown more than those 3 put together we’re happy to get rid. Totally ridiculous. Yes it might mean being an impact sub until CC has worked with him for a bit longer but there is no frickin way we should be getting rid of Bacuna. Think they all need moving on but it will be a slow process and it will be a case of taking good offers for any of them if they come in. Problem with that is if we only accept offers for the better players, especially if the money isn’t then reinvested, then we’re left with the shit.

Its not working up front with any of these guys so it a case of we need too change the guard and also these guys are getting big bucks.

Dont think it would be a great loss to lose bacuna. When hes good he can be very good, but how often is that? Id say 90% of the time he's average to poor. If anything id say hes gone backwards since we signed him. If we sell grant and bacuna today..... who is going to score the goals? Bacuna has 1 goal in his last 28 appearances. If we were relying on him for goals we really are in trouble! Grant doesnt want to be here and hasnt played well for a very long time. Wouldnt you rather try whoever we bring in instead? In Grant we arent losing the Grant who we first signed who ran his socks off and had a genuine goal threat. We're losing the uninterested version who didnt really warrant a starting place for most of last season.

Transfer news: Done deals during October 2020 - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/54375967It says between international and premier league clubs is today's deadline So the Grant deal to WBA can continue for another week or so... do you really have a clue about the transfer deadlines because most know the domestic one closes 16october

We loan out our only two goal threats..... that would be a town way to do it. WBA have until 16th if they want to buy Grant. Today the window closes for International deals (including Scotland), plus Premier League to Premier League deals. Any deals within the EFL or between EFL and PL clubs can still be done until 16th October. EFL ZONE (@zoneefl) Tweeted: Just to clarify something as I’ve seen people getting confused, today’s deadline is for Premier league incomings and transfers to/from European sides only. EFL have until October 16th to complete their signings. EFL sides can still sign prem players after today until the 16th

WB were told that if they wanted him it had to be done today to allow us chance to bring in. I doubt that's changed.

So the Grant deal to WBA can continue for another week or so... do you really have a clue about the transfer deadlines because most know the domestic one closes 16october Our recruitment is based between Germany and Spain, If we dont get those deals done today we are on to 3rd and 4th choices, No rush to get domestic loans and transfers done, but today is the deadline for Grant to go and for us to get in our preferred replacements, its also the last chance for WBA to sign someone from anywhere other than the EFL, so they would be short in that area or have to look elsewhere.

All in all, it's going to inevitably blow up in our face. It will be our own fault if it does. We’ve been holding Grant back from the team for 4 weeks negotiating, we should have put a final date on it to him and WBA which avoided this and allowed us to start our season before mid October. It’s one thing when you get a surprise deadline day offer that’s too good to refuse, the Grant situation of not playing him but allowing it to drag on to WBA’s timeline is incompetence.

He still scored more last season than the rest of the midfield put together (probably could add the season before in too 🤣)

Our game is already swamped with average foreign players earning a king's ransom. This 'Transfer Deadline Day' hype is all about the media's fixation with filling the Greedy League with foreign players. I don't disagree with that but Eiting and Pipa have improved us already and so has Sarr even in the one game he's played, all signed for less than 2 million in total (guessing at loan fees on Eiting). 2 million in the UK would get us one young player from league 1. And now MaynardBlue has kicked this into touch. Looks like no more purchases from abroad in this window. "This isn't the key window for us - that's the 16th"

My point is we would be better targeting cheap deals from overseas and getting better value for money than paying over the odds in the domestic window. Yes Maynard is right 16th will be key for us now as we have no option but to sign UK based as of tomorrow.

"This isn't the key window for us - that's the 16th"That's probably more in reference to outgoings, but seemingly we are now in a position of having to plug the gaps with EPL loans, rather than doing the recruitment we wanted. CC was hoping to have 2 weeks with new recruits, if they dont happen by close of play today and are carried over to the 16th, then we have 2 games a week for months, when is he going to work on fitness and style of play with the new players? At this rate Kongolo may outlast Carlos at the club.

It's a good point is that, how many managers are these crap signings going to go out live? you could argue that the expensive flops we signed have cost 3 managers their jobs!

Sky Sports news have just said Grant to WBA could still go ahead up to 16th as its the EFL business deadline and also Slimani to WBA has gone cold. that's no good to us if we want to bring in players.
