If we sell grant and bacuna today..... who is going to score the goals? Bacuna has 1 goal in his last 28 appearances. If we were relying on him for goals we really are in trouble! Grant doesnt want to be here and hasnt played well for a very long time. Wouldnt you rather try whoever we bring in instead? In Grant we arent losing the Grant who we first signed who ran his socks off and had a genuine goal threat. We're losing the uninterested version who didnt really warrant a starting place for most of last season.Except for his goals which kept us up..... |

If Mbenza had scored the goal in a 1-0 win, you could say the same about him. 13 goals that weren't pens in 44 appearences. Of course his goals played a big part in our survival, but as a forward thats inevitable. His performances post xmas were pretty dire I thought. |

All because he won't be here by the end of deadline As far as I know Players have to be available to train and play, or would be in breach of their contract. Grant apparently has made it clear he does not want to be here. WBA have made it public they want him so to protect a player from injury while waiting to see what happens before the deadline is infuriating when we are struggling for goals, but understandable, especially when you see what has happened to Kongolo! |

Luckily now we have no game before the next window shuts.grant will be training in some form so if doesn’t go by a week on Friday would think he be available for Swansea..even if it’s just as an option off the bench for that game.if not any replacement the same would most likely apply
With kongolo seems unlikely he leaves now after failing a medical,whether he comes back into the squad remains to be seen.Would be an expensive four months before the January window shuts but that’s just one of those things.
Still believe grant will eventually go and that we have targets lined up to come in if he does,would imagine probably more than likely a loan unless a free agent waiting in the wings.
Can only wait and see but either way we have grant back if doesn’t go and if not he gets replaced.

Apologies if posted elsewhere.... Rangers bid for Bacuna rejected according to Scottish newspaper. Ours though or Cardiff’s? He’d be a great signing for them I reckon. So much time and space to run and shoot. He won’t go to the bluenoses though, not our Bacca. |
