Sounds like this could be like Wolves signing Neves. Picking up a midfielder that is really out of place. Oh please Phil, if you’ve made an unbelievable signing, back this up with a decent striker, another winger and another midfielder. We're going up, we’re going up

Gorre’s debut against Norwich was a real statement of intent. I think he came on as sub for last 35 or so, but wow! He just oozed class and made so much time on the ball for himself. But when a team is full of confidence good players can come in and look great. When the chips are down and you’ve got to dig in and face adversity, the good players can either become great or bang average depending on how much stomach for a battle they have. I think that answers the question re Gorre for his performances for 60% of his two years at Town.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

We're going up, we’re going up UTT I think people need to calm down a bit on this one, nothing like Neves who had been playing regularly and was very highly rated. This lad was highly rated two years ago but has had a bad injury and the fact he is joining a Championship side on loan with a view to signing permanently suggests Ajax don't think he will ever get back to being the player he was prior to his injury But at the end of day all we need is for him to be a steady Championship player as that will mean he is as good if not better than what we already have

From what a load of Ajax fans were saying on a thread between themselves the other day, I’m not so sure they are knocking the championship. More whether Eiting has the physicality to cope with a 46 game high intensity league.. To a man they were all praising his technical ability and saying how fantastic he is with the ball, but most thought his playing style more suited to Italy or Spain, as they thought he was quite weak and had struggled in more physical games, so were shocked he’d chosen to come here. Sounds like he’s more Lee Makel than Darren Bullock. He and Carlos obviously both think he can do a job for us, so, if he can take the physicality in his stride (Plus avoid injuries) then we could have some player on our hands.

I don't think the championship is as physical as it was, most clubs play possession type football and avoid contact until in the final third. Refs and cheating players killed the blood and thunder football Bullock thrived in, so I don't see a problem for Eiting. Agree though 46 games is a slog but that can easily be managed by improving his physical strength and resting him occasionally.

Eiting came back from injury in January and played for Ajax 2 (under 23) in the Keuken Kampioenschap, the Dutch second division. Coach Erik te Hag reckons he’s not up to playing now in the first team due to competition in his squad. He was asked to go out on loan in the Dutch top level but didn’t want to and fancied an adventure abroad. Eventually he ended up talking to Town. The feeling of a couple of Ajax fans I know is that he is technically very good - passing, turning, dribbling and finding space. The perceived weakness is how strong he is and how his confidence is after little football in 2 years, could he handle the rough and tumble of the Championship? Coming through the Toekomst (Future) means he will be technically very skillful and disciplined. Hopefully similar to ESR, but we must wait and give him the chance.

Massively overrated on here, great player on his day but inconsistent and a bit injury prone I seem to remember. I've seen the two compared but Mooy is/was twice the player. Gorre never controlled the game but did show flashes of real class. Sent from my SM-A515F using proboards

From what I've seen of behind closed doors football, the rough and tumble of the Championship might not be too much of a problem. There seems to be a few passages of play where it's more like the pace of a friendly.

Gorre did have those moments in a game when you thought..wow-what a player.. But he was inconsistent.. The pale pirlo is in a league of his own for me.. #legend

Unfortunately he had two or three innocuous games for every performance

Saw us play and changed his mind😜 PH is going to charm him (like he did with the Cowleys), tell him they are going to build the team around him and he’s there are 5 more quality signings coming in before the end of deadline day.
