It's a nightmare because even if we confirm the signing tonight he'll still not be available to pick for 2 weeks.

In seriousness though, it looks like this one actually is going down, and it doesn't sound like we'll have to 'shell' much out on his salary
Carel Eiting is on his way to Huddersfield Town. His agent Guido Albers confirmed Friday afternoon to the Algemeen Dagblad and De Telegraaf that, if all the paperwork is in order, the midfielder will play a season on a rental basis in England. Earlier in the day, Albers posted a photo on social media of Eiting and himself at Schiphol. Eiting is choosing eggs for his money with his move to Huddersfield Town. The 22-year-old midfielder had little prospect of playing time next season, as he faced fierce competition due to the presence of players such as Lisandro Martínez, Edson Álvarez, Ryan Gravenberch and Mohammed Kudus. At Huddersfield, Eiting will hope to make more minutes. The Terriers played in the Premier League two seasons ago, but finished in eighteenth place in the Championship last year. With Terence Kongolo, Eiting could meet a fellow countryman in Huddersfield, although there is talk in England about a possible departure of the defender to Fulham. For Eiting, his employment with Ajax comes to a temporary end after thirteen years. The midfielder entered the youth academy in 2007 and has managed to kick it to 31 games in the main force so far. His contract in Amsterdam will run until mid-2022.

The one transfer so far I've been genuinely excited about. Loan with an option to buy sounds like it could be quite a coup if he manages to adapt to Championship football.

Done deal, according to lots of reports in The Netherlands. Season long loan deal from Ajax. 22 year-old midfielder.

Loan with option to buy is very rarely that... It's usually a done deal. The structure means that town spread the payments and balance the booksbover a different period.
It's not unusual, basically instead of a 4 year contract it's a loan and a 3 year.

He was v highly rated before serious knee injury 2 years ago which kept him out 16 months
Only played 9 games in the last 2 seasons / 31 senior games as a result of said injury
Question is whether he can stand up to the unforgiving nature of championship football

It's not unusual, basically instead of a 4 year contract it's a loan and a 3 year. Kachunga and Lossl were loans with option to buy. Distinctly remember us triggering the option on Kachunga around February in the promotion season. Mbenza was a loan with obligation to buy.

It's getting the Twitter boys excited. You know the ones... 29 year old men who claim to regularly watch Dutch reserve league football and are claiming him to be the next Aaron Mooy.

Good news if true. Will just pop over to the new sub board to see if there are any updates on there too.
EDIT: There is! This new way of doing things is working like a charm!
