No mention of a record fee from Town and we have stated that in the past, even if the actual fee is undisclosed.
So less than Billing, I presume?

Glad it’s official so we can move on.
Just worried about who we’re going to sign to replace him, and the goals he brought to the team.
If we are crossing our fingers hoping Campbell and Ward will score enough to get us the points, then this season is going to turn sour very quickly.
Balogun on loan from Arsenal is the only striker I’ve seen linked.
Come on Town, use the money wisely.

But then we would be left with a load of fadges like you...... Is this bus carrying the Germans you predicted months ago finally arriving tomorrow, or are you, as I and many suspect, a weapons grade Billy bullshitter? Hang on, the Germans must play in England already, so maybe they cancelled the local services? 99.2% spunktrumpet. You an admin yet.....? Look stop it now My mum would not accept people teasing the impaired And We have to read his fuck wit posts 😉

now he's gone, time for the chairman to back our coach and bring in some quality additions. anything less and the chairman will have a lot of explaining to do.

The usual, ah good riddance stuff follows as expected... No wonder football supporters are branded as fickle buggers...

I don’t hold a grudge against him at all. Bought for peanuts relatively speaking. Scored goals.
Was forced to play on the left and still tucked away 19 goals including a belter at Brentford.
Nice transfer fee. Sad to see him not up top this season and scoring 25+
Good luck Karlan. Not my favourite character but a hell of a lot better at football than most who played in attacking positions for us last season.

I really hope we have a good sell on.

I wish Karlan all the best. Scored lots of goals for us in a poor team. Without him wed be in League 1 now

Yeah that article may as well have said mind your own fucking business town fans none of it is getting spent before you start getting crazy ideas that we can compete with the likes of Reading and buy players from Barnsley. You would assume less than Billing but it could just be they’re touchy about the make up of the deal therefore they’re just saying nowt. It suits the new communication strategy. Now get some fecking players bought and stop trying to tell everyone the sky is falling down.

Plus quite a few penalties thrown in He isnt particularly quick, isn't blessed with great technique in terms of his touch, dribbling, passing etc. To me he looks very league one in everything he does apart from when he catches one sweetly after cutting inside. A very limited game for a Premier League player up against top defenders.

Tomorrows going to be interesting.
One of the lowest scoring teams in the division last year, let their two top goalscorers leave. With rumours getting said Carlos doesnt want to bring another striker in, things certainly look bleak.
I didnt particularly like Mounie and thought Grant was over rated but to replace them with only Danny ward would be criminal.

He’s served us well generally, he’s scored goals which have kept us up and we’ve made a big profit on him. League 1 sounds a bit bitter to me. No grudges here but it’s not like I’m going to be following his career with great interest.

Interesting how two guys who cost us less than 2m and and netted over 30 between them are held in such low regard at the JSS. Meanwhile people are still eulogising over Gary Roberts and Peter Clarke
Funny old game.

I would take a younger fitter Gary Roberts and a Peter Clarke any day than some of the nonentities that we have playing for us at the moment

Good luck to the lad but the thought of donning a shirt with “Ideal Boilers” week in week out can’t be that appealing but I suppose for the salary increase I’d do the same.

He's welcome to visit his shrine at my garden bar area anytime Gary Roberts was ok too. As was Karlan Grant, and he's helped to keep the club afloat a bit longer.

Meanwhile people are still eulogising over Gary Roberts and Peter Clarke Funny old game. I liked all 3 of Billing, Grant and Roberts as players in a Town shirt. But one gets the impression that if they could earn £5 per week more playing tiddlywinks, then they'd be doing that instead. Not Clarke though I would have thought. Limited talent, yes, but he put his heart and soul into playing for Town.

Thank you Karlan and best wishes for the future. Can't understand why some didn't take to you but each to his own. Perhaps a little selfish near goal but that's a trait most strikers display I suppose 'You pays your money, you takes your choice'
The one at West Ham and the one at Wigan were special and will be remembered. Only Town player for a good few years that I thought 'He'll score here - and he did'. Most of our other strikers recently it was 'He can't miss this - oh he has!'

He's been good business for the club from start to finish. Signed for £2m for a club basically relegated in January, finished top goalscorer with 4 goals. The club have been in turmoil for his whole time here but still managed 19 goals last season in a team that just avoided back to back relegations & sold him for a huge profit.
Good luck to the lad.

Meanwhile people are still eulogising over Gary Roberts and Peter Clarke Funny old game. Not held in low regard by me. Showed he can score goals in the Premier League. His goals kept us up last season. Anyone who would say they wouldnt want to move to West Brom in his position is talking nonsense. He gets almost a full season in the Premiership to prove himself, and if West Brom come back down, they will invest to get them back up again or at least challenging at the top end of the Championship. All the while we will still be making excuses as to why we have to sell players and invest sod all. It really winds me up, the bloke has increased his value from 2 mill to around 15 mill, of which we will get a huge whack, his goals pretty much kept us from sinking into league 1 and the financial impact that would have had. Whether you like him as a person or as a player, he has done a lot for this club in the short time he has been here. Jeez, no wonder the bloke wanted out.

Thanks Karlan for all of the goals, in the past 18 months, quite an achievement considering how poor we've been during your time with Town! Good luck with WBA, hope you continue to score goals for them! Leading to a massive move to ?? with a massive payoff to Town. All the best Karlan, the performance at West Ham was special, the goal at Wigan was top class & finally really enjoyed your goals & performance last season v Charlton. All the best - UTT.
