Everyone has the right not to have the vaccine, I've not noticed anyone is arguing otherwise on here. The same as everyone has the right not to be vaccinated against yellow fever. If you are not vaccinated against yellow fever you can't go to Uganda, Dem Republic of Congo and many other countries. There is no discrimination, it's the same for everyone If you choose not to Covid jab and various things are not available to you in the future, surely the same applies. Your choice. Whilst I agree with that to a certain extent, my main issue is when members of parliament explicitly state 6 months ago that there will definitely be no introduction of vaccine passports (even responding to tweets asking if they can be held to that and replying with a firm YES) and then changing their stance with no recriminations. It's just lie after lie after lie with this set of pricks, so you can hardly blame anyone who doesn't want to fall in line with their continual stream of hot bullshit. I see your point re info from politicians, but can they be trusted to understand (or how to interpret implications from) the science - no, so don't believe what they say when it clearly going to be influenced by the science as & when the science is available.

Do you know the meaning of the word 'possible? A serious question Ted! I'm very aware Steve.. at the risk of you getting angry again Steve, would you agree with me that Britain weren't in the top two most prepared nations in the world to cope with a pandemic? And second point, the one you evaded - as you understand 'possible' you will understand that your post was NONSENSE as you portrayed as not understanding the meaning of possible, and you know it!

Yeah, and it's fine to not understand something that isn't your field of expertise. What isn't acceptable though is to state in all certainty that something won't happen when there is always the chance that it can. There would have been nothing wrong with saying the vaccine passport situation was conditional and could change. To brazenly and arrogantly claim something was the case when it clearly wasn't, well that's misinformation and is not acceptable in the slightest. This reply also to @ennius

I’ve now heard two absolute lies from medical professionals, the first was the nurse on Adrian Chiles show telling us covid wards were full of kids. The second a doctor on Twitter (yeah I know) telling anyone who’d listen there were no available beds for sick children!
Then the king of lies himself Hancock urging us to get jabbed all the while risking death to his wife and children while trying it on with his hired help. Is there any wonder folk are sceptical about getting it when they hear and see this shower of lies everyday.

100%. It didn't take long after I'd admitted on here to not being vaxxed yet before some smarmy dickhead chimed in with their own self satisfied view. They'll also be the ones everyone turns on when we go back into an inevitable autumn lockdown. It’s not really in anyway the same though is it. There’s a marked difference between restrictions to those destinations and not being allowed the freedom to go to a local night club. What do we do about those unable to take the vaccine for medical reasons and children?

Make of it what you will but they've just said that proof of a double jab is to become a condition of entry at "any venue where large crowds gather and interact", such as churches, cinemas and nightclubs. Presumably football grounds would come under that umbrella.

Newspapers reporting that vaccine passports will be needed for matches. Only PL at the moment, but you would expect this to be extended if it works.

Newspapers reporting that vaccine passports will be needed for matches. Presume this would only be from September, like other places, to allow the younger ones to get their second jabs.

Do you really need to put in a photo? And a video? I have installed the NHS app on my phone and it's given me a 'passport' QR code valid to 21st Aug without any such inputs.

Just heard that farting in football stadiums will be banned. This is after recent research suggested that the virus can spread via gastric wind, even though in effect you are double masked, unless you are going commando of course when you will be single masked. To aid this food and gassy, pissy lager will not be offered for sale inside stadiums.

Think you needed to do the photo if you didn't have your NHS number to hand. Only took a couple of minutes - didn't need a video.

How did everyone feel about being back in a ground yesterday? I didn't quite grasp the "being in the middle of a crowd" thing because I was sat in the front row and couldn't really gauge how big the following behind me was, but it was very strange to walk through a crowded, unmasked concourse for the first time in yonks.

I thought it was brilliant. I was really glad the massive queue wasn't for the loo at half time though 🤣.

Sutton United have been forced to switch their scheduled first home league game on 14th August away to Salford City, and the home game against Hartlepool on 17th August has been moved to September because the pitch won’t be ready in time. Their first home game will now be Oldham Athletic on 28th August.
The grass seed hasn’t even been laid yet due to the unusually wet weather recently. It’s been obvious for a while from the live feed of ground improvements on their website that they were behind schedule.
Very disappointing.

Hope its not a case of 'Fail to prepare, prepare to fail' for Sutton, first crack at the league so not a great start. No, I don’t think Sutton United can be accused of failing to prepare. There’s a massive amount of work going on at the ground, as well as them having to lay a new hybrid grass pitch. They’ve got a continual camera feed from in front of the main stand so you can see some of the work being done. The new floodlights went up last week and a small new seated stand is being built for away fans. They’ve also removed a tiny terrace called “the shoebox” as well. There have been lots of days recently where it seems no work was being done on the pitch which must have been because it was too wet. I think it’s a steep learning curve for them behind the scenes but they’re a very stable and well run club that still relies heavily on volunteers. Being honest, the ground isn’t really up to league standard. I think they’ll find it tough, but the club won’t complain and won’t give in.

How will things stand in the ground regarding those fan's who want a pint of dish water and a Pie that i would not give to my dog. Is there going to be social distancing, how is it going to be marshalled or will it be your usual shove and push.

There was a queue of around a thousand for food and beverages at Hillsborough on Sunday and I've seen sardines with more room in cans 🤣

Walton-on-the-Hill Terrier If the pitch won't be ready for a while, any chance of Sutton playing home games at an alternative venue? Plough Lane, Kingsmeadow, Loftus Road, etc?
