Posted on here 21st October and contacted Leigh Bromby after being tipped off about “the next Jamie Vardy”, namely Max Watters at Crawley Town. Hat-trick today making it 15 goals in 15 games. Seems my contact might be right.
Also being told great things about Joel Randall at Exeter City.

We need at least four quality players in January to cover for all the injuries - especially cover for Hogg and Karoma. Surely, there are plenty of Premiership players available, but how many people on here trust Bromby and Co to bring in the type of players we need - and I hope they Know about Epsom's tips.

How come these Irish lads have contracts that end mid season! Not sure but could be something to do with them playing there season at a different time of the year I think they play through most of the summer, kit Elliott who was on loan at cork returned back to the club as the Irish league had ended

Jack Diamond from Sunderland.
He’s a winger that can play on either side, but is left footed and prefers to cut in from the right.
He’s only 20 but he’s been one of Sunderland’s bright sparks when he’s played this season.
You’d think that would mean the end for at least one of our wingers if we were to sign Diamond.

Yeah but what formation would he fit into best ? He predominantly plays RW for Sunderland in a 4-3-3, but switches to and from LW as the game pans out. I think he also started as a RWB under Sunderland’s previous manager when they played 3-5-2. With his age, he’s certainly one that can be ironed out.

Lad that was at Harrogate last season ? Correct. Lee Johnson has gone on record to say that Diamond has saved them a lot of money because they no longer need to invest in a winger in January. Could even be possible that we sign Diamond in January but loan him back to Sunderland for the rest of the season. Suppose it depends which winger/s we can get out the door.

No point loaning anyone in. We are destined for a steady season in mid table, no point blowing cash on short term fixes for problems which aren’t too pressing or paying January premiums.
The rumours all seem to be for young, up and coming players from lower leagues or lesser pyramids. It’s good to see the focus has changed to more long term planning.
Full kudos to CC for being capable enough to make this a possibility.

Just think if we just gone ahead and bought a certain Man Utd goalkeeper instead of getting him on loan first 😉.

Think the club have said as much on loans. Will still look to do them but they are after loans with option to buy.

Effectively, this is what the deal for poppadom wrists amounted to - he's out of contract in the summer. If it had worked out, we'd have been in prime position to sign him, although he'd probably have dropped then pen before it reached the contract.

Wrists aren’t really poppadom shaped. Wasn’t it poppadom hands? I honestly can’t remember, just seems an odd connection.

What a very bizarre conversation.
