Someone was getting the deals over the line. If Walsall would rather deal with Luton Town something isn’t right. I keep hearing we’re not standing for no nonsense and won’t be made mugs of. If it means we get the players we want i don’t give a rats arse how stupid we look. Nothing compares to the embarrassment of going straight from the Premier League into relegation battles. I've heard a few rumours that suggest Phil likes to meddle in the transfer process and his meddling actually cost us a few signings on deadline day. I heard that we spoke with several strikers who wanted a move but opted to stay at their clubs rather than come to us, and that the feeling behind closed doors is that it was Phil's involvement that tipped the balance. This is apart from those we were in for who moved to a new club like the lad from Walsall to Luton. He apparently also tanked a deal for a Premier league loan with his attitude. I could put up with the apparent resentment of us fans and the Billy Big Bollocks attitude, even the taking us for mugs over the West Vale Squash Club lies - all of that I cold stomach if he was actually capable of doing his job. What kind of meddling though? Leigh Bromby or was it Mark Devlin has already said he has involvement in transfers. But as it’s his money you’d understand that if it’s just case of signing off the costs etc. But what is he up to that could put players off? Do you think he is just one of those really cringey, types who tries to be best pals and makes out he knows it all |
