Tom Allen’s appearing to be the current ‘golden child’ and a mix of the fat annoying bellend James Corden and Graham Norton.
I’ve only seen him fleetingly one the Bake Off Extra bit show but he wasn’t funny on that. I guess in the end it’s an act and he’s trying to make his way in the world. 🤷🏼♂️
As for Diakhaby, best all round if he goes. Surely his agent is working on something?

Do we actually have any rumours about incomings/outgoings at all? Diakhabe not making the bench in the last game might mean he is on his way out I imagine. If we've managed to find someone who'll take him, I'd love to know who, as I've a warehouse full of magic beans, tartan paint and glass hammers going at a decent price Is Del Boy trading again.

Yeah, that Allen bloke is annoying and seems to be on everything at the moment. It's almost as strange as the career of Paddy McGuinness (isn't he famous for being mates with Peter Kay?), who must have either a brilliant agent or compromising pictures on people high up at the BBC.
Back on topic, not expecting many in apart from Aarons. Wouldn't be surprised to see Mbenza leave - cash in while we can and get a big wage off the books.

I never thought I would be saying let’s keep him, but fair play to the coaching staff they have now got him on the same page as the rest of the team. No doubt come the summer plenty will be leaving giving Carlos the chance to put more of what he wants into the team, but still hoping we at least see a few players in January who can add to our forward/wide options.

I just meant purely from a financial point of view really, not a reflection on how he's been playing. He'll be on big money and is playing well enough to attract a bit of attention at the moment. We'll be safe in mid-table with any luck, so might be a case of cashing in ready to rebuild and kick on next season. I'd imagine the club are ready to cut their losses on Diahkaby and Pritchard should anyone want to take them and their wages on. Sounds like Schindler wants to return to Germany too, so that could be another potential one out and if we feel like we can cover the rest of the season blooding some of the youngsters, then it could happen sooner rather than later.

I agree, it seems to me that moving Mbenza on in this window is an unnecessary risk. Plus one of the reasons we think improving the striker options would be a good move is because Mbenza is putting decent crosses in and nobody's getting on the end of them.

How much would we save though? If he's getting a lot it's unlikely anyone will take over his contract and we'll have to cover part of his salary and we'd have to replace him with someone who's as good now rather than a prospect otherwise we weaken the team. If we're paying 50% of his salary to him and 50% to his replacement we've disrupted the team for no gain.

Mbenza wont be leaving, regardless of any fee a prospective club might want to pay us, I doubt they will want to match his salary given the current situation.

Why cash in now when we have a option to extend another year to June 2022. Activating that extra year likely means committing ourselves to another year of his current wages which I imagine are a hell of a whack. That extra year option does give us the ability to hold out for a better fee this January but in reality I'd be surprised if we took up that option in the summer, even taking into account his massive improvement.

I don't think it does commit us to a salary but does mean he's not a free agent. In effect his next club would have to buy the option from us. I might be wrong though.

I think it's just an option to extend his current contract by one year. So it should be the same wages. I expect we will take the option on the basis that he can leave for a small fee. Allowing us to claw something back. I just guessing though.

These are the kind of gems we should be looking at, signed him on a free. No guarantee due to the difference in quality but if you want cheap hidden gems, sometimes you have to take a gamble on these kind of leagues. One of his teammates joined Milan in summer and he’s absolutely smashing it.

He must have had half of Europe chasing him. Why would you pick Watford given the rate they go through managers. Assuming they've offered him silly money

One of his teammates joined Milan in summer and he’s absolutely smashing it. They were also a little sneaky in signing him as he doesn’t qualify under the new rules. They made sure he was “living” at a uk address on the 29th (and so a “resident”) two days before we left the transition period.
