Yaya and oumar taking us to the prem next season 🤩 Those two plus Rhodes would give us much more to get excited about. Let’s just make sure we stop in this division first !

I see he shops at Tesco and Aldi, hopefully now he's playing again he will be able to upgrade to Sainsburys Did make me laugh that he mentioned was cycling to tescos as part of fitness regime 😂

Make him available on a free. We can’t keep players around just because they have a deal. Ward moved up here to be closer to his family and friends, he’s hardly likely to give up a cushty next two years to move elsewhere on a lower wage. No, I’m sure they would be a financial cost if he went to somewhere like Rotherham. But on the financial upside you’ve signed Sanogo and Niasse for free. Just seems a bit too cushy at Town for players. He’s been out all season, done nothing when he’s got on the pitch and we just shrug out shoulders.

Seems a decent option for us and you would hope if does well potential to sign permanent for next season. Sounds like Rhodes will also be coming.Campbell has triggered his automatic extension so unless he gets a better offer(unlikely) we have him and ward too. What that would give is plenty of options.Even if sanogo didn’t happen for next year too as would think be looking to sign one of him and niasse permanently. Niasse probably most suited to playing centrally in a 3 with wingers either side and campbell as backup(although I notice Rhodes playing on his own currently for Wednesday) Then would think one of Rhodes/ward alongside niasse primarily or Campbell as the backup if switch to a 2. I do still think with the amount of wingers we have now at the club(although like previously stated think good chance mbenza moves on) that we will look to recruit to a 4-3-3 but that we have options across the squad to be able to comfortably switch to 3-5-2 If these signings do come off and we do have these options up top and out wide with the players likely to leave the focus will massively be on midfield and the centre of defence, potentially also fullback as there is a world I can see one of the two full backs moving on also.

Admins in another ridiculous lets move a current thread 'shocker' Or... there's a 22 page thread that is up to date but someone decided to start a new thread needlessly and the admins have tidied it up, as we've always done and as we'll always do. Other forums are available. nobody is held captive here. I know we're not held here, but Stockholm Syndrome is certainly settling in.

That'd get him fit as a butcher's dog.

Seems like a great person to have around the squad based on that interview. But I'm surprised it's just a deal to the end of the season if we held out that long for the paperwork, and it raises a few questions on our forward line for next season though especially if Rhodes comes back as is heavily rumoured.
Campbell, Ward, Niasse, Sanogo, and Rhodes all as out and out strikers is too many to have in a squad. Funny this is the last time I remember having this many is when Rhodes was last here, and they were all different categories of player- poacher, big man, workhorse, speed merchant.
What we would have there is about the same combo- only if we were to get rid of Ward, which despite him being crocked I can't see happening as he signed a 3 year deal. So I guess it's up to Niasse and Sanogo to fight it out for a longer contract. But we need Sanogo/someone like him as an option in order to have an effective plan B.
And that's not even getting into the fact that our best 11 when the whole squad is fit has a front 3. Or that Mbenza and Koroma have successfully played up front for us this season. Or taking the development of Phillips, Harratt, Elliott, Obiero etc into account. It's as if Phil has gone 'you want 5 strikers, I'll show you 5 strikers!' and now we'll potentially end up with a grand total of 11.

Not the other way around - thats idiotic.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see both signed on and let Mbenza go at the end of the year . Think we’ll move to a 3-5-2 (3-2-3-2) based on this past few weeks It would be typical town to let a player go with 5 goals & 8 assists this season for free instead of triggering the one year extension & selling him for a fee. Same with Bacuna. It definitely would ... then they’d move onto another team and play like Messi and de bruyne

We'd thenhave to hope someone is prepared to come in and not only pay a fee from him but continue to pay the ridiculous over inflated salary he's on or we're stuck with an expensive millstone around our neck. And I can't see that happening TBH.

I expect when staying up is confirmed we'll trigger both and aim to sell in the summer

Aside from deadballs(which are admittedly generally very good and an important part of football) he does offer very much IMO.

What a fabulous interview. There is a man who wants to play and wants to contribute. He says he needs to get his confidence back, which will be a big thing being out for so long, but I really warmed to him. My only real question is - can he take a penalty?

What a great interview - down to earth and talked sense - he's a success already for that reason alone in my opinion. If he's as good on the pitch as was in that interview he will be a good 'un'

Wonder if Phil knew about him shopping at Aldi before he offered him a wage 😁

Let's hope not, we have our proud record of failure from 12-yards to maintain
