When he doesn't play we've put Holmes there, he offers a shitload more than shortarse Agree Holmes not been too good (yet) but still think that for what it’d cost us there’s better value wingers out there (and also one who’s not afraid of a 50/50 challenge!! (Hobbyhorse!)

What a fabulous interview. There is a man who wants to play and wants to contribute. He says he needs to get his confidence back, which will be a big thing being out for so long, but I really warmed to him. My only real question is - can he take a penalty? He does seem like a proper good bloke and genuine. Let's hope he's successful, because good bloke or not, if he doesn't cut it, he'll be shit on from a great height on here.

One of the best opening interviews I’ve seen from a signing. Comes across as somebody who genuinely wants to do his best and a really nice bloke. I really hope he succeeds here.

A mate Hull fan says he's class he was behind Abel Hernandez in the pecking order at Hull otherwise he would have scored a shit load he says.

I've just seen a tweet from an Evertonian saying we must be desperate if we've signed him. But as someone posted a while ago, Everton fans are used to seeing a higher standard of striker than we are.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see both signed on and let Mbenza go at the end of the year . Think we’ll move to a 3-5-2 (3-2-3-2) based on this past few weeks I’d be very surprised if Mbenza is offered another deal and I don’t think (at least for the likely salary) he’s worth one. Aside from deadballs(which are admittedly generally very good and an important part of football) he does offer very much IMO. I'd love to see him get an extension, but I honestly think we cannot afford him. That's why we suddenly have a surfeit of wingers ready to step up to the first team next year.

That's funny considering they still have Tosun on their books. Niasse averaged a goal or assist every 113 minutes played for Everton.

Nothing to stop us offering some of those out of contract a new contract on reduced terms.
If they can get better elsewhere they'll say no, which is fair enough. If not they can consider it. Mbenza, Bacuna?

Look forward to seeing a positive impact from him 👍 Definitely. I can see him being on the bench against Brentford. Although he's yet to score I like what I've seen of Sanogo so far. The more attacking options we have in our run-in the better.

He’s the target man we’ve been crying out for . Shame about this International break because he was building up his match fitness.

If we can get him scoring and back to full fitness and we get him signed up to a 2 year deal and get Rhodes back and provide some serve to those 2 and bring in a visionary midfielder and sort out our ropey defence then we could be in with a shot of top 10 play offs next season....but thats a lot of 'ands'.

Pleased with this signing and like what he has had to say so far.
Good Luck Oumar, I hope you do well and earn a longer contract as a result.

Mbenza, Bacuna? Bacuna to Rangers is still on the cards. Still on the cards as a free agent, but would it still be on the cards for a fee if we trigger his clause? I'm interested how it works - as players reach the end of their contracts, they're free to renegotiate pre-contracts with other clubs (I think from the end of the January transfer window?) - can they do that still if there's a potential unilateral clause owned by the club which they might not decide to trigger until May or June?? Seems a bit weird, that a player could effectively agree a new deal at a new club, and then suddenly their owning club ties them into a contract which runs straight through that pre-contract.

People talking about how well he comes across in the interview at HTFC. This one I think he comes across even better. Has every right to be bitter & angry, but rises above it superbly.
I can't speak for his ability, but I can't imagine we'll have an issue with his character.

The one Wazza has just started Bloody hell , so the rumour was true. Only us could take weeks to get the deal over the line , only for him to get injured before he plays ffs
