With the players currently available and our record at PNE, i would say an away win should be the longest odds of any game in the top 4 divisions this weekend there is no doubt the injuries have left the squad bare but hogg likly to miss tghe next three games is a blow so a point would be a god result but whatever the result we move on no point in looking back that is gone.what will be will be. utt Someone wrote recently that we last won without Hoggy at home to Blackburn in December 2019. [Edit: someone was wrong: I started to look up when we last won away without Hogg, thinking it would be years ago, but he didn't play at Hull last season]. We desperately need to change that this week - all fixtures that we seldom win. And he didn't play there last time when we lost 3-1 after a run of 7 without defeat.

Thomas and Pritchard playing for the B team today in a 4pm K/O 🤔. Hoped Thomas might get a start tomorrow 🙄 Look on the bright side, Pritchard won't be starting tomorrow afternoon It sounds like both Campbell and Mbenza will be fit to start, so Phillips will probably be on the bench. Maybe Sanogo, if he has a reasonable standard of fitness, would be worth a place on the bench for a 10 minute spell at the end. Due to a lack of any available left backs, we'll have to go 3-5-2/3-5-1-1 tomorrow with Rowe at left wing back.

Serious question guys. If we would of shown some ambition and we loaned Charlie Austin instead of qpr getting him Would we be in this position? I understand some fans don't like him however he does know where the net is You see this highlights the issue I’ve raised previously. Our coach does not see value in playing an out and out striker. Austin or anyone similar would not be capable of running around like Campbell has to do. Even Steve Austin would find it difficult . The six million dollar question is who do we bring in in the summer.

Fair to assume Pritchard and Thomas are on the bench after playing 30 mins for the B team today. Hopefully REG and Stearman not featuring means they're in contention.

Preston have won just 4 of their 16 home games to date, scoring a meagre 11 goals in the process..albeit only conceding 16. It matters not though, for every team that seems to be on a losing streak, of failing to score in recent games always comeup trumps against a Town side lacking fight, guts, skill, stamina and direction... we usually help them on the way with gift goals, or a penalty..a red card...
I expect more agony, more damage to our fragile confidence...4-0 Preston ... This season has utterly and completely disintegrated into a total disaster and no one, absolutely no one seems to be able or even willing to stop the rot....

If we play the same boring crap today and lose then it's time for Corberan to go before it's too late. Surely PH /DH can see that his system is not working and surely they have someone lined up to quickly take over if they sack CC . The 'exciting' system CC was going to bring in is pure dross.

Sacking managers has not had the desired effect. Perhaps the previous model of changing a good percentage of the squad for players the manager actually fancies he can do something with might be a better option? Clearly we still have wages here that prohibit that just now. Nothing ever wrong with a good coach and his ideas being taken on board by the squad but that cooperation and enthusiasm from our squads has been sadly lacking for 3 seasons nearly. It's easier to say it's one blokes fault and shift him but after 3 or 4 scapegoats the problem is fairly evident. The number of players 'feeling their calves or hamstrings etc' is worrying both from a commitment perspective and a medical team perspective as well?

The 'exciting' system CC was going to bring in is pure dross. harsh. at the end of the day as a manager you can only do what your players can do- we've fallen on our own sword due to the club's policy on squad depth and wage structure combined with a demanding schedule leading to lots of injuries. CC is a novice manager and this season was always going to be a learning experience, he's not learnt how to break down cloggers and bus parkers yet with what he has available. We're where we are in the table partly due to that, but mainly due to too sparse recruitment

Wonder what team will turn up today?
The team looking fit, firey and full of ideas, the team that leaves you feeling positive looking up the table.. or the team that looks like they haven't got a care in the world, clueless and incapable leaving us looking at other teams results.
Bizarrely inconsistent.

He really has to change the keeper. Much as Pereira had a bit of a mare on his only appearance and clearly won't have a club next season, I'd rather see him between the sticks than Schofield. Corberan just has to take that lad out of the firing line, for his own sake as well as Town's.

Bizarrely inconsistent. This is what worries me. Is it going to be the team that was embarrassing against Wycombe and poor against Derby, or the team that absolutely leathered Swansea? CC must tear his hair out most weeks. A bit of consistency and I think we’d survive quite comfortably. Until then, we’re very much involved in the relegation battle.
