If we play the same boring crap today and lose then it's time for Corberan to go before it's too late. Surely PH /DH can see that his system is not working and surely they have someone lined up to quickly take over if they sack CC . The 'exciting' system CC was going to bring in is pure dross. harsh. at the end of the day as a manager you can only do what your players can do- we've fallen on our own sword due to the club's policy on squad depth and wage structure combined with a demanding schedule leading to lots of injuries. CC is a novice manager and this season was always going to be a learning experience, he's not learnt how to break down cloggers and bus parkers yet with what he has available. We're where we are in the table partly due to that, but mainly due to too sparse recruitment You forget the utter lack of commitment and fight in a lot of games over the past 3 seasons. The coach yelling his head off and pointing and being totally ignored. 4 seasons since we went behind and won a game speaks volumes. The amount of goals conceded very quickly one after another is another good indicator of commitment and concentration.

That was just utter anguish and demoralisation. The psychological issue around the team at the moment seems to be panic and self perpetuating cycles of good-dreadful-alright performance within the 90 minutes. I don't think it comes from lack of commitment personally, it seems like they're trying too hard at times if anything. There's a lack of a cool head in midfield who can recognise when things aren't working and change the tempo

Every time I have been to this shitehole ground Town have been done over normally on set pieces. With our shakey defence unfortunately cannot see other than a loss.
Two nil to the black pudding munchers

Having recovered from the adductor injury that has kept him out since the game at Watford on 16 January, Rarmani Edmonds-Green comes back into the team this afternoon. He is joined in the line-up by Town’s assist leader, Isaac Mbenza, who is fit to start after his recent abdominal issue. Fraizer Campbell starts today, having recovered from the illness that forced him off at Pride Park in midweek. Aaron Rowe and Demeaco Duhaney drop to the bench this afternoon. There are also a couple of changes among the substitutes, with Town’s newest recruit Yaya Sanogo coming straight into the match day squad alongside Joel Pereira. Jayson Leutwiler and the suspended Jaden Brown make way. Lewis O’Brien captains the team again today on the 100th league start of his career. Corberán is without Harry Toffolo (back), Jonathan Hogg (calf), Carel Eiting (knee), Rolando Aarons (hamstring), Josh Koroma (hamstring), Danny Grant (hamstring), Danny Ward (calf), Christopher Schindler (knee) and Jaden Brown (suspended).

Anybody have any clue as to why he's dropped Rowe?

Anybody have any clue as to why he's dropped Rowe? I'm assuming to look after him. Which is a bit fucking late in the season with that injury list.

What is the point of signing a gk who must be worse than Pereira? Surely one of the kids would be ok as 2nd back up. Schofield, for his own sake, should have been taken out of the firing line but there must be zero trust in either of the back ups. I hope Schofield has a decent game, how many more howlers before his confidence goes altogether.

Based on what i saw Wednesday there is goals in the side with a bit of luck. The young lad Anthony Gordon we have on loan from Everton will be something special given the chance

We were behind at home to Blackburn last season and won. We were also behind at home to Middlesbrough this season and won.

I remember going there in the cup a few years ago. Lost 3-0, loads of problems with long throws and set pieces. Tom Clarke scored for them.
Expecting the same today (minus Tom Clarke).

They will win cheap free kick after cheap free kick around the left hand and right hand sides of our area (dangerous positions for us) and hammer them across to scare the shite out schofield. I anticipate lots of corners for them too. It’s a game plan that works for them. Bit of a championship Everton really not going up not going down and have the odd flurry with playoffs. I can see a pounding 4-0. Hope that last bit bites my ass on the way to the fridge to grab another beer at 1650 (usually to drown my sorrows!)

We are averaging around 2 goals conceded in every away game.
I’d be delighted if we just keep a clean sheet.

Last season Grabara was all over the place at Deepdale. Hopefully Schofield catches a cross early and gets a bit of confidence. At least Gallagher isn’t playing, his dead balls are brilliant.

If Preston play for set pieces like they have done for the last few years this could get ugly. Probably the worst team for Schofield to face at the moment.

A decent performance at Deepdale is long overdue, as are any points to show for it. In fact the last win was in November 1969, 3-1 (Worthington 2, Lawson).
Come on Town.
