Always better to play a team after they have lost than after they have won. Some key players starting to come back. Lets go get them 3 points.

Prior to their loss to Coventry. I'd have said Barnsley would win quite comfortably. Now I'm not so sure, we might scrape something out of this.

They were more points ahead of Coventry. Presumably Coventry had fans who didn't think they could win. Like the soft bastards that didn't think we could beat NotsForrest(sic). I'm not saying we cant beat them. But in general. They are a better team than us. The table doesn't lie. I bet they would be not much of a gap if they had had our injuries since the turn of the year.

Thing is about good runs though, the end of them is always round the corner. No reason at all why we can't get something on Wednesday night, they're hardly Norwich.
1 or 2 more points should comfortably be enough.

The majority of the team that played against Forest will still be under contract next season.
Only Keogh, Campbell, Bacuna out of contract. All of whom could be realistically be playing for a new contract - probably the only 3 out of contract that are.
Maybe that's a motivating factor?

Rangers in for him....we need to activate it in order to cash in.

Even when we were playing well earlier this season we struggled against teams that were stronger physically so I expect in spite of strengthening with Holmes I don't se us getting much from this one.

We've got an extra 24 hours for R&R & preparation over Barnsley, CC said last week it's a big advantage when other teams have the extra 24 hours so it should work the same the other way round.

Carlos will set us up to deal with Barnsley’s style of play you would hope.
Interesting to get an injury update.

Still think town need 5 points to be safe and a point against Barnsley would be a start.
This will differ slightly differ if Rotherham loose or draw to Boro.

I think WRDCFC next 2 games against Preston and Birmingham are probably the key games. Derby could easily lose both and be in desperate trouble, but wins in either would harm their opponents chances.

Pipa is probably too small to play against Barnsley anyway 😂, it might be the game for REG at right back just for his height.

Three points is all we want from this game: not much to ask for; so we'd best win, no excuses.

We know they will hit it long and press from the front. Will we continue to pass between our centre backs (inevitably inviting a mistake), or change tactics to match Barnsley like a few teams have this season? I'd personally play a few of the bruisers, aka Stearman, for this one.

Not easy to predict but all we can ask for is maximum effort. We need to show them who is the top team in Yorkshire.

Sarr and Keogh need to have good games, could be seeing a lot of the ball and not from fellow team mates!

Our form is improving so I would hope we could at least come away with a draw, depending on the Rotherham United result it could be another vital point. Towns first goal against Forest seemed to settle Towns nerves, and could again be crucial. UTT.

Its between Rotherham and Derby now for the last place, neither are shoeing any form to speak of, Rotherham would need to win tonight to have any chance of staying up.

Yes , I should have added our form is slowly improving , but there is an improvement, I am always concerned about relegation until it is mathematically impossible for Town to be relegated, it seems natural when supporting Town!

Don't know about you, but when we got that first goal at Forest I was more nervous than when it was 0-0...more to lose I guess.. I nearly turned it off and disappeared into the garden. Plus I'm very superstitious..if I had my coffee in my hand when we scored I'd hold the dam thing for the rest of the game...or if my legs were crossed, or if the tv remote was on my left.... Help !!

Barnsley shouldn't even be in the Championship anyway...only because Wigan got 12 points docked stopped them being 3rd bottom...Cheats !
