WHY THE FUCK WERE WE FUCKING PISSING ABOUT WITH THE FUCKING BALL AT THE FUCKING BACK IN INJURY TIME WHEN WE SHOULD BE DOING EVERYTHING TO GET THE FUCKING BALL FUCKING FORWARD?!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck me we really were absolutely fucking shite tonight in literally every single area.
We had a chance to do what Coventry and Birmingham have done tonight and basically secure safety. Instead we're still going to be shitting it

Men against boys again.. What a shower of shit we are.. Tactics wrong too I thought, only positive was Eiting was our man of the match with that cameo performance

The best team won no doubt. Great to see Eiting back. Too many of ours not on it. No idea why High came on. He looked a boy amongst men.

There are very rarely games where you say 'we were pretty lucky to get nil', but that is definitely a shining fucking example of one.
We never tried to win the game and we didnt.
Another clean sheet would have been like finding Lord Lucan riding Shergar down your local fucking high street.
We aimed, very, very low tonight and fucking missed..

Flies round a jam pot for 90% of that game. Terrible to watch, but hugely impressed by the Barnsley press; they're as fit as we were in 2017.
Looked a lot better once Eiting came on and tried to play it a bit. Really can't see what Sanogo brings: he doesn't win it in the air (often); he doesn't hold it up; he can't shoot. Big shout out to the much-maligned Naby Sarr who kept us in the game (again) with not one, but two goal-line clearances.
Overall, poor tonight, but we need a full-strength line-up for Saturday. No square pegs, please, Carlis...

Rubbish. If that lot i hope Hogg, Sarr and Koroma start the first game of next season. That’s it. Sarr was shite, has been for ages.

Schofield is the worst keeper I have ever seen at Town.

This loss was down to Corberan.
No 4-3-3, players out of position and looking lost, Schofield not in charge of his area and panicking, dicking around at the back even in the last few minutes.
Eiting is in a different class.
Clueless Corberan. Potless Phil. Dodgy Dean.

Struggled all season against physical teams who close us down quickly, we’re still short of quality on the ball to play around and through the press. Eiting made an enormous difference when he came on, if he’s available we need him for next season. Barnsley are relentless but they’ll get murdered if they go up. Looking forward to a more open game on Saturday.

Well it’s one game less to go and we’re still 8 points ahead of Rotherham, so I expect the odds on Town getting relegated will have lengthened slightly.
Small mercies and all that, but it’s not good, is it?

Poor result and performance but results gone our way largely in the last couple of days
Barnsley play Rotherham next who will leggy and without crooks
We now face three sides on the beach and have a big points cushion - I’d have taken that at the start of the season

My thoughts;
Schofield stands behind his line too often
Keogh did well despite me berating him
Hogg was an animal today, seemed to be everywhere We've missed Eiting more than we like to admit High, Aarons and Thomas have ability but they all look incredibly raw Holmes is an ineffective winger
Sanogo does well as a target man but not much else
We deserved as much as we got from that game.

What a crap performance! Nothing in midfield (untilEiting came on), O'Brien's passing back to what it was two months ago, nowt up front, extremely lucky to keep them to one and why the fuck did he take Rowe off?
The one bright thing was Eiting who has to start in our midfield on Saturday.

We got what we deserved, 1 shot on target all game, we are a poor team, looked a bit better when Eiting came on, at least he can pass to one of our own men and get the ball forward, underwhelmed by Carlos’s tactics tonight, we do miss Pipa and Toff though so they were big losses.

Can we get a bit of perspective. We have lost 1 0 to one of the top 3/4 teams in the Championship. The reality is we never tried to beat a team in our own division. Losing isnt the issue, how we lost is. Not overly interested in how fucking awful we played it was the total lack of motivation that just amazes me..

How anyone can get excited about next season knowing the likes of Ward, Holmes, Aarons etc are the kind of players our recruitment team are identifying is beyond me. I dread to think what they'll come up with this summer

Clubs a shambles...... I was saying last year the end of the season can't come soon enough and its same again this year, probably was saying it 3 seasons ago as well. On another note, the only bloke cheering all the way through the game has just had Phat Phil on the microphone who said...
"We lost, why don't you just go home" A proper chairman would have gone over and thanked him for his support. It happened on the red screen after the sky coverage. Describe that again town. I don't understand what you are on about

I thought we didnt play that badly (weve played a lot worse). Barnsley have what we had under Wagner, they are sharp, so much sharper than us.
I dont get what Duane Holmes adds. Eiting comes back and shows what we need, class.

That was a hard watch. We just lumped it forward and hoped Sonogo would win it.....he didn't.
Really don't understand the High for Rowe substitution.
High, Thomas and then Aarons all seemed to get a go on the right when they came on.
Schofield looks petrified any time the ball comes in the box in the air.

We spent the first 75 mins lumping it. We should have been trying to play. We are now chasing the game, need to be a bit more direct, and have started passing the ball a slowly in our own half. If we were chasing anything it was not an equalizer! Looking at that performance, the players were chasing the Uber taxi out of the place.

This week has highlighted what we all knew in October.
Toffolo, Pipa and Eiting were what made our team work.

I said at the start of this topic that it'll be interesting to see how much CC has learnt in this game...
Reverts to 352 Square pegs round holes (Holmes) Takes off our only effective winger prematurely (Rowe)
Now that Eiting, Toffolo and Koroma are back we should see better football being played again.
I'm not convinced that we'll see Sanogo score tbh
