I certainly think Leeds interest is receding on o brian if they aren't prepared to pay Maynard may know more but it's dragged on a while now but we will see From what I hear it's more to do with the structure of the deal now. The overall figure seems to be acceptable Any further progress in moving Mbenza out Maynard?

Question for those closer to the finances - if LOB doesn’t move are we in danger of going into administration? Ignoring the fact that £10m cash is scheduled to go to DH next week. Revenue this season is likely to be less than £10m with wages & other running costs likely to be £30m. Without a good £5m from the sale of LOB we will most likely breach FFP even if PH puts in £15m. Moreover is there a danger we go bust ?? Since Hodgkinson took over he has reduced the wage bill to around about the promotion season figure. (as per his interview with Oggy) He has brought in 21 players on permanent deals of which 13 were free transfers and made 11 loan signings. Transfer fees paid is around £14m, which £11m of that was for Mbenza. This is what Chicken wrote back in June Town’s wages for all staff and players in 2019/20 totalled £26.5m, less than half the £55.5m paid in the second Premier League season.
That is again not unexpected, though our data journalist David Dubas-Fisher notes that means that Town spent just 57% of their revenues on wages – the lowest percentage in the Championship based on each club’s most recent set of accounts, and less than half the divisional average of 121%.
However, that's partly because Town’s revenue is also much higher than many of their divisional rivals because of parachute payments. In real teams, Town’s wage bill was about average for the Championship.
Many clubs will have reduced their wage budgets for 2020/21 and presumably yet more will do so again for 2021/22. Still, for a newly-relegated club to have trimmed their wage bill by quite that amount is slightly unusual. That's not necessarily a bad thing for their long-term health, but it surely will have impacted their performance on the pitch in a relegation-threatened 2019/20 campaign. Thanks for that however if wages are scirca £20m with only £10m revenue ex TV (which is earmarked for Hoyle) it looks like there will be a £15m + loss without player sales.? Presumably last years loss was more than the £8.2m loss reported 19/20

At the end of the day its up to the pair that set up this deal in the first place, they need to sort it out.

This is from Duckworth's press conference reported on the BBC: On whether Leeds fans can expect any further signings, Marcelo Bielsa said:
"It's not probable that any more signings will be made. I'm happy with the players I can count on at the moment. It's the same group as last season with the substitution of Firpo for Alioski.
“The young players who accompany the team have another year of experience. If we have the option to bring another player in we will do it has long as that player is able to challenge the player who already has that position.
“Signings that strengthen the team means a player has to compete with players who already have a position. That means there's a very high cost to these.
“With regards to this situation, if players don't arrive there's disappointment that they don't arrive." www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/58265901/page/2Some great replies, chesties talking about getting relegated this season 🤞🤞🤞

We’ve just offloaded one tosspot who did that today 😂 100% this. Smaller than Alex Pritchard and possibly even less effective(!) Loads of hype cos of all the top academies he's been at but that means nothing. Demeaco Duhaney came from Man City's academy and he was absolutely atrocious every single time I saw him.

An amazing move not to sell a player which meant we could bring some better ones in.
