An amazing move not to sell a player which meant we could bring some better ones in. Do you actually think we would have signed a better player than O Brien 🤣🤣🤣 If him, Pipa and Toffs stay ill be a happy happy man

I think Lewis has great potential but that can only be unlocked at a better team. I think with the coin we could have given Hoyle a few million and signed a couple of decent, ready, championship players or maybe a decent loan from the PL

We have sold 2 players for 15 million plus and who did we replace them with? Your optimism is misguided I'm afraid. We are better off keeping our better players to avoid relegation.

An amazing move not to sell a player which meant we could bring some better ones in. Yet you'd have been foaming at the gob had we sold for £5 million At the moment it looks unlikely but a lot of brinkmanship going on here wouldn't surprise me one way are another if he stayed or went eleven days left before deadline but town are not going to be bullied in to anything the deal has to be right

It’s a done deal. Will go through last minute as an excuse for not signing someone (best we can hope for is a loan).

I heard that from someone with connections at Leeds. Whether it’s true or not, I don’t know, but sounds worryingly familiar. Perhaps they’re happy to keep his fitness ticking over, perhaps it’s bollocks, we’ll see.

If that was the case he definitely wouldn't have played Tuesday. CC confirmed that he would be in the squad again tomorrow, so unless something has changed since lunchtime today it's not a 'done deal' yet. Not saying he won't be joining them but as it stands he's still a town player & part of CCs plans.

As it stands they can't afford him. Unless they come up with the goods he stays.

They might be able to pass, shoot or create chances though, none of which O'B can do and we desperately need someone that can.

He’ll be lucky to get half a dozen appearances from the bench this season for them.

As it stands they can't afford him. Unless they come up with the goods he stays. Exactly how it should be. We’re not selling a car, this is the price, take it or leave it. I get that Lewis wants to go to Leeds but if they won’t pay he’ll have to look at other options. If it’s true Palace would pay what we want surely the lad has to take that opportunity.

Wonder if anything comes of the Palace interest, and also if he's here on September 1st whether he'll sign a new contract rather than carry on being paid (relative) peanuts

Latest from i’ve heard from someone in side the club. OBrien has agreed personal terms with Leeds, his agent has refused the opportunity to talk to a n other club. We need to raise £10m less the £2m from Rangers. PH holding out for £7m Leeds have offered £3m plus add ons. Leeds indicating they won’t up their offer for a player who is essentially a U23 player. Leeds view it as a £3m now or more or less £nil in twelve months time. (They did something similar in signing a lad from Wigan). The hope / realistic view is now a deal can be brokered at £4m.

Was it the same person that told you this? Heard that Koroma is set for Brentford irrespective of which division they end up in. Club needs cash and he’s happy to return south.

Yesterday you asked “someone closer to the finances - if we don’t raise £10m will be go into administration?”. Now you’re saying you know somebody in the club who’s shared all that detail with you. Brilliant, come on fella at least make your story credible. Have you met our good pal Townrwe? You two should go for a pint, you’d have riveting chat.

Literally everything you've said there is bollocks. Have I told you lately that I love you? Even more lately, as you seem to be getting more blunt and more candid. The other day you alluded to a light at the end of the tunnel re the Hoyle saga. Any chance of an indication of the tunnel's likely length?

Indeed.. this time last year Sheffield United fans were looking to push into the top six . Some other team also proved the other year that its often the second season you need to be worried about :-)
