Plus a Premier League loan player is pretty much guarenteed to be behind O'Brien in their development and readiness for Championship football. They might be able to pass, shoot or create chances though, none of which O'B can do and we desperately need someone that can. Rubbish.....obrien is a quality young player who has a number of clubs looking at him higher up than we are. Agree totally we need some more creativity ..... but thats because weve lost bacuna, mbenzas about as much use as a chocolate fireguard and sinani appears either not to be fit or good enough to play !!! Add to that a coach for whom the jury remains firmly out and an apparent lack of spending firepower and we were always going to be a bit short in that dept. Could be an interesting last 10 days!!!

Applauds to Phil and the board for this one. We don’t need to sell, and as alluded to before; proven in the championship, young, English. 8m IS his price tag. Win win for us - a big dint in that tosspots debt or we keep a quality player.

Credit also to the player, no spitting the dummy out, being a dickhead in training, missing training altogether or refusing to play like we've seen from previous players in similar positions both at Town and elsewhere

Latest from i’ve heard from someone in side the club. OBrien has agreed personal terms with Leeds, his agent has refused the opportunity to talk to a n other club. We need to raise £10m less the £2m from Rangers. PH holding out for £7m Leeds have offered £3m plus add ons. Leeds indicating they won’t up their offer for a player who is essentially a U23 player. Leeds view it as a £3m now or more or less £nil in twelve months time. (They did something similar in signing a lad from Wigan). The hope / realistic view is now a deal can be brokered at £4m. Literally everything you've said there is bollocks. Buuuuuurned

He supports the white shite and thinks its funny to go on opposition internet sites to "banter them" so I guess it comes with the territory He ought to be more concerned about how skint his shithouse football club is after over spending last 3 seasons. 🤣🤣 eladdy

He ought to be more concerned about how skint his shithouse football club is after over spending last 3 seasons. They must be well and truly skint if they can't spend 8 million quid. So if I had £4m to my name but couldn’t stretch spending on something to £8m, it must mean I’m an absolute pauper in your book?

You know what happens in twelve months? We activate the twelve month option, as we have with Bacuna and Mbenza. I know it's a difficult concept for a Leeds fan to understand.

Which bit is rubbish ? Do you think his passing and shooting are good ? He drives us forward but is lacking then when it comes to making the right decision, if he had that he would be worth double what we reportedly want for him.

To suggest a proven championship player feted by prem teams cant pass or shoot though is ridiculous. He lacks the right decision often because he doesnt have quality around him......the movement upfront on tues for example was pathetic and 2 or 3 times he had to turn backwards to play a "safe" pass becausd there was nothing progressive on. Prem teams in the main buy for the first 11 - hes not there yet but with good coaching and recruitment elsewhere he could well be within a few months.

I agree he his hampered at times by lack of movement but he does need to improve on his release of the ball at times but overall he is Aa very good young player and with better players around him will only enchance is game and would be a good fit for Leeds but that is up to them. Owt could happen in the next ten days in or out

Mooy say no more and Sarr at Watford now been mentioned at Liverpool Spurs etc. for 50 million. O’Brien was superb on Saturday and was marking Berge ( who Will probably be sold for 25 million plus this week) and is getting better with age. I’ve slagged him off at times but he’s a young lad who will play premier league football something town will find hard to replace.

Leeds have done their best to unsettle the player, and I expect them to wait for town to lower the price before the window shuts. Time will tell of course!

I still think he'll go. But could be right at the death and wouldn't surprise me if another club comes in late and forces the move eitherway.

If I were the club I'd be telling him that with his performances he will really start to get interest from other PL clubs. It might be best for him to be patient here... he wouldn't be a starter in a Leeds team.
