It’ll work because for once, he’ll get some service. I’m looking forward to him silencing all the doubters. Wheres all this service coming from. Let's not forget Wednesday had a six point deduction. They should of finished two points below us, so we are pretty much on the same level of shitness. Whys it going to be any different here for him. I kind of think that our Coaching team might actually have a plan to get the best out of him. Why else do you think we’ve signed him?

From what I've read on here. The reason Rhodes hasn't scored many is the fault of every single manager hes played under the past five years not Rhodes himself. Work that one out. If you’ve been following his career you’ll realise that one of his Managers was Tony Pulis. The guy who in one game when Boro were 1-0 down with 10 minutes to go and Rhodes on the bench, brought on a left back Yes I did realise Pulis managed him. Along with how many others?

He’s scored 35 goals in his last 175 appearances / 6 seasons Absolutely ridiculous to give him a 3 year deal We’re already stuck with Holmes & Ward - but we say it’s important we learn our lessons. We screwed up last summer. We repeated it in January. We’ve done it again What next? Anthony Kay? Oscar Gobern? We need to look forward not back Is the limit of our scouting Phil’s autograph book from 2010-14, Bromby ‘a phone number and championship manager search players out of contract Jun-21? How is he going to fit into a fast paced, attacking intensity side? We gave up on it in November - have we completely given up on it? If so fine but why is Carlos still here - he’s shown he’s incapable of managing otherwise. Are we just hoping he quits? Surely the whole point of this summer if Carlos has to stay should be to bring players who want to play on the front foot, young, fast, energetic, resale values etc? What are we trying to achieve? He scored the same amount of goals as Campbell in less than half the amount of minutes last season for a team that created fewer chances. He's an improvement on what we already have. That’s a fair comment - Look I’d take him over Campbell & Ward. I loved the guy when he was here - my annoyance is the obsession with looking back isn’t going to take us forward.

Because at Middlesbrough, Pulis did not want to play an out and out striker. He was the most negative coach my Boro season ticket holding neighbour, had ever seen at his club.

I just watched the video of all his Town goals. What an absolute master class. Left foot, right foot and loads with his head. Strong on the ball as well and his positioning was brilliant. I know he is past his best but we haven't had a striker anywhere near that good since he went. If he gets good service and clicks back in he could be a really good signing. Welcome back Jordan.

I honestly can't work Town fans out, you're all there wanking yourselves stupid over Pearson, a lower league clogger of a centre back at best, then when we sign a quality striker and Hodgkinson a wanker again. As I said before if you're a trier and run around like a headless chicken for 90 minutes and work hard you're a legend, fuck me, the fans at this club. Admin alert. Someone's hacked Art's account. Like the irony that the imposter is calling out the fans for being negative. 🤪

I really am But it just sounds like we’ve another chairman that likes being in a sweetie shop. But instead of just buying any shite sweets cos he can, we’re now buying the ones we enjoyed as a kid

I didnt want him back, but three years is ridiculous. I imagine his wages will be higher than anyone else we will be signing. Written in the stars for him to get a bad injury early on. How do you know what his wages are? The club will have offered him a trade off - much lower wages but a longer contract - that's how it works!

Would much rather we went after someone young looking to prove themselves like Liam Delap from Man City than another aging ex player looking for a final payday. Our recruitment team are plain fucking lazy.

Rhodes will be fine if we play two up front with somebody like Campbell doing the donkey work. His goals have dried up over the last few years because since he left Blackburn he's played for teams/managers who predominantly play one up front. When Darren Moore came in at Weds he played Rhodes with a strike partner and he scored four goals in a relatively short space of time.

I understand your rant but it's not fair having a go at Pearson. We have had quite a few very solid centre backs who would not have set the football world alight but served us really well and I hope Pearson is going to be one of those. We have also had some 'quality' ones like Zanka and Kongolo who will fade quickly in our memories. You are better than that fella, give the lad a chance.

Barry Bannan has better delivery than any player on our books. Not sure why people think he's gonna have Giggs and Beckham feeding balls in to him

But it will take a large change in direction for Carlos to play 2 up front. Probably happened a handful of times last season Also after that initial scoring his goals disappeared

Jordan says he’s expecting us to have a full house and the place to be rocking next season.
Some hope by the sounds of it with all the negativity still around!
18 months with no live football - I can’t wait to get back.

One thing for sure is that Rhodes will provide anticipation and movement in the box, something we haven't had for years.

Who do you thinks going to be on more than him? He was on a right whack at Wednesday. Well Hogg and Toffolo for a start! He will have taken a 'whacking' wage cut as he's benefitted massively already from his previous earnings. Gee some on here really need to cheer up!

You reckon Wednesday fans will be pissed off hes left? Probably not because they'll look at his overall goals tally and will have rarely seen what he can do if you play to his strengths. He wouldn't have got another contract there anyway because of his wages and the big drop in revenue with their relegation. They also haven't been paying their players on time recently either.
