Hopefully this signing will satisfy the negative Loons on here. I agree totally, but when you read most of the comments on here, there's zero chance of that happening. 80% of the comments are negative to start with!!!

How much game time do you think we have been forced to write into his loan contract by Chelsea?
And does this mean we are likely to see Carlos play with a back five - 3 x CB plus Toffolo and Pipa as wingbacks?

Chelsea (and Arsenal, and Man City, and Liverpool.......etc) aren't going to be short of offers to take their talented youngsters on loan. We got Colwill because we offered Chelsea the best package in the deal. I don't know what the package was, but it may well have made stipulations about game time. As long as both parties benefit, I'm happy.
Yes, we'd have more freedom if he was our player but bottom line he isn't. Same with ESR.

With Coliwell and Pearson at the back I already feel tons better about our defence compared to last year.
I still hope Town are looking at adding a creative midfielder before the season starts though and a loan might be a good shout.

A lot will depend on what system Carlos prefers.if it's 4 3 3 I don't think he will start if we go three at the back and push our full backs foreword I can see him starting but I'm sure town willl at times be flexible in there systems according to what the opposition do so we will see and I'm sure like all the squad he will play his fair share

Wouldnāt be shocked if we tailor approaches each week with Sarr, REG and even Turton, Vallejo or Toffolo coming into back threes depending on the opposition . Also think we may see Colwill at CDM sometimes looking at his technical ability

Got to say, this lad looks the dog's bollocks. He is Heās an excellent signing - credit where due to the recruitment team on this one. If Carlos canāt get quality out of him he may as well give up That said he probably wonāt even start him!

Think Chelsea will have sent him to play.bit of a coup we got him over other clubs so would expect to see him start regularly with sarr as backup.sarr did well early season last year but proved couldnāt keep those levels up consistently over the season.having him to rotate for games or come in to make a 3 seems ideal to me. Fact that sarr has had this little knock last week and colwill had more minutes probably means heās starts season regardless

I expect Chelsea will have stipulated how much game time he should get. I hope so! By that I also mean in the same way as Arsenal stipulated how much ESR got - i.e. Cowleys couldn't play him as much as they wanted to.

We seriously ought to be giving some game time to Sarr up front so that he could be used Hef style as an emergency attacker, when plan A is not working late in games. I'd also like to see us play 3 CBs tonight.

I think with esr he had been injured so he needed games but not breaking.colwilll doesnāt seem to come with an injury record(though he is only 18 I think) they will want to see how he stands up to the test most likely.good thing is when he does need a rest sarr more than capable of coming in and performing it would just seem that he couldnāt keep that up on a consistent basis.

Think that it would be a mistake to cast Sarr aside so eagerly. He's a very good defender. Hopefully Pearson can organise him to reduce the number of cock ups.
Three at the back might work well.

Possibly. With that in mind I wonder if we have a similar agreement with Walsall for Kieran Phillips. Left sided CB is one area where I think we're quite well stocked this season.

Although he's also younger. I have no idea what the deal is btw. I'm just pre-empting the (almost inevitable) questions that will arise this season of "why are/n't we playing Colwill instead of Sarr?". I suspect the agreement we have with Chelsea will at least form part of the answer to that question - whichever way it goes.

[/b] Must admit, looking at the squad we have I'd be leaning towards a 3-4-3 as our preferred formation. It does look as though CC prefers 4-3-3 though.
