So we have now got rid of both with a bit of dosh for Bacuna but with a bit of hassle and a few weeks wages paid to Mbenza. Not bad in the end I suppose.
With the other signings a good window all in all.

Another absolute mess created by Hoyle, pay £10 million for one of the worst players in Premier League history, then expect to get your money back when he turns out to be absolute garbage. Not that his fan boys will agree with but my word we are lucky to see the back of him. The more I look at it the more understanding I am to the job PH is doing, can look forward to what the future holds now. Yes mistakes were made…. But we signed a Belgium U21 international from a reasonable Ligue 1 side who had stats of 11 goals in 54 games over 2 seasons. Turns out he’s a greedy useless twat who hasn’t done much for us …… but yep, it’s all Hoyles fault - for backing whoever decided he was a player we want. And just to clarify… I’m not a Hoyle ‘fanboy’…. He did fantastic for us by getting us to the PL… and keeping us there for a season. He backed his manager with player purchases etc. for which I will not criticise him with the basis of hindsight….. …… but, if the rumours are right, then I’m as pissed off with him as the next fan if the terms of the sale of the club etc are hampering us.

Nobody's saying the signing worked out well. But most of our points last year came in the first part of the season, when Mbenza, Campbell and Koroma were playing well together up top. Without his unexpected if brief contribution there's a good chance we'd now be in League 1 ... not 4th in Championship. That's worth something, at least. Better than Pritchard, Diakhaby, Sobhi etc. I'm yet to be convinced that Mbenza was any better a signing than those other players you mention. Apart from getting more goals and assists than all 3 of them combined ?

You said above that Hoyle trousered the sale proceeds from Coady, Butterfield etc etc. How can that be if he was putting approx £5 million a year in to the club pre PL ? You can call me a fanboy if you like but the way you are talking suggests that you have an irrational hatred of Hoyle and are now making stuff up to keep your anger burning. Also, if you read these pages you should be aware that Ted does work - in a difficult area supporting and protecting vulnerable folk in society. And you are now pissing me off doubly as you are forcing me to agree with Ted…. And to defend him. Not the greatest start to a week I’ve ever had! Maybe you have finally come to the realisation that I'm never wrong Woah there tiger…… Let’s not get carried away!!! 🤣

Reckon we've found a buyer or just terminated his contact? Obvious that he wasn't going to play at all this season anyway if he did stay. It's only a matter of time til someone photoshops a big wad of brass into his right hand 🤣

Well that’s me convinced then…. Great player was IM . A legend. Should have broken the bank (again) to keep him…. Build a team around him etc etc. A pile of shit that smells a bit, compared to 3 piles of shit that really really smell is still a pile of shit.

The second bit of my post would have been better written as ‘comparing him to those 3 is quite a low bar’ The first bit would have been better written as ‘ I’m rather bitter that he’s milked us for millions and swanned off to a signing on fee’ Soz Porroh…. Still suffering the after effects of agreeing with Ted earlier - might need to go lie down.

Is the wink because he's got a termintion fee and now can go and sign for a club that wanted him before? In hindsight terrible idea to re-sign him, bacuna could have at least given us a good season and prob been ok around the squad
The parting message says it all

About one thousand times better than yours I would imagine fella hence why you have attempted to end it with the above comment, I would go into detailed breakdown of it all but think it would be too much for your tiny mind sadly. Will leave this one here as arguing over Hoyle always ends the same way and ruins these threads apologies to everyone looking for Mbenza news. So did town make profits season on season ? Are you accusing Hoyle of taking money out of club accounts ? Yes indeed your knowledge is literally staggering. Good idea to bow out now as you're embarrassing yourself Ted - yorkterrier gave you a way out where you could both end this "properly" but you wouldn't take it. The Hoyle discussion has now gone on too long - people are not going to change their minds. I think most people now see him for what he is/has always been. You make your mind up what that is ...

Dear Isaac Mbenza
I hope you don't read this site, but in case you do ...
My son, who is the love of my life, and a massive town fan, was happy when we signed you. Not because he'd heard of you - he hadn't - but because his name is Izaak. He laughed at the thought of his name being sung around the ground. It wasn't to be.
Izaak is now 13. In January he had an interview for a sports scholarship at a school near us, with a good reputation for football. Because of COVID, he had to send in video highlights of his kicking a ball into dustbin etc, and the interview was online at home (so I could hear it all). He was asked "Who's your favourite sports player?" I thought he might say Phil Billing or Duane Holmes, because he was sat next to them once at an away game, and they chatted to him for a while and signed his programme. But he said, "Isaac Mbenza. People had written him off, and then last summer he came in early for training, and this season he's been one of our best players. That shows determination." Izaak got the scholarship. To my mind you helped him with that.
Thank you and best wishes for the rest of your career.

I’m pretending that I wrote the above to IM even though he couldn’t give a shit about HT, so why would he read what’s on here. What I really wanted to say to you all is… it doesn’t matter if he is a leech who has milked the club for millions… and wouldn’t leave til he milked us for a bit more…. He’s got the same name as my boy so he’ll fucking do for me!! Lots of love from your fave sycophantic stranger, BB. x

Not that it is any of our business any more, I thought players, terminated in between transfer windows, cannot join clubs until the next window.

Youre blaming the chairman for us signing a dud player ? FFS Im blaming Hoyle for signing a dud player then expecting to get his money back for him yes, that literally happens nowhere. the worst summation of contract law so far
